Department of Turnplay

Good point on the additional screens Bugs.

I wouldn't share our intel unless we can really gain a strategic advantage out of it. Better they don't know what we know, and showing off at the bargaining table might be counterproductive.

I'm sure MIA's reason the same way which could lead to a locked position. I figure the trick is to show something that looks useful and somewhat generous, but that doesn't weaken us is any way. Something they can't change or influence negatively. I've come to believe that the most important thing is that we are able to out-expand the Greeks without interference. Maybe intel on the other civs could be it as Tubby has sugessted. If they're in doubt about the relevance we can hint about our knowlege about them (MIA). I have a hunch they do not have an analyst like Tubs in their ranks...hopefully.

I'd suggest that we hold off playing our turn untilwe have talked to MIA. I think that if we play, as quick as we have been then we'll have to wait until next turn to start the trading. Or we might want to just let one of the guys off of the diplo team play the turn this go round.

Just for reference and to help the scroll challenged
Todo for turn 29.
  1. MM Simpleton to work the cow, wheat, wines, & roaded BG
  2. Move settler SE-S (moving to the dyes)
  3. move worker SW-S
  4. move Ave Joe west
  5. move Peapants east
  6. check for happiness and push SCI as high as possible
  7. open diplo and offer whatever the Ben Franklin suggests (see Diplomacy thread if details are not here when the save comes in)

ALERT! ALERT!

The next team doesn't have the save!
No worries, Nuts had it but were late and then sent the wrong save. They may be good players but the posting...
DaveS seems a bit disturbed by it himself. I guess they alter turnplayers and not all are familiar with the goings, maybe :hmm:

Heads up to the diplomatic crowd. Save has gone to MIA so I expect we may hear from them soon.

OK We have the save. There is supposed to be a meeting between us & MIA this morning so don't play it. Let Whomp, Bede, or one of the diplo team play it. If they can't play it they should post here.

If it hasn't been played by midnight EDT (16 hours from this post) then anyone can feel free to play to due to the SANCTIONS!!! SANCTIONS!!! ;)

Todo for turn 29.

  2. Move settler SE-S (moving to the dyes)
  3. move worker SW-S
  4. move Ave Joe west
  5. move Peapants east
  6. check for happiness and pu SCI at 0%
  7. open diplo and offer CB, WC & 1gpt( we are getting Alpha & IW

and on pbem I think it says "send" and it will send it to them.

I got it btw.

WE also need to make sure that when MIA sends it they also accept the agreement. If not then It'll be another turn of limbo

Whomp, can you PM fe3333au about that?

We need to hold our next warrior back in our core for defense.

Also we have said the warrior SE of Dunderhead is going on escort duty for the dye city settler. Can we divert him east one tile first to get a view of the east branch of the simpleton river?

I didn't send Igor (our newest warrior) very far so he can lay back (and drink beer with the locals). Avg Joe(west) could very likely hook up with the settler without a problem.

I was looking at the save and Igor can go 1 west and then head back to escort the settler. The only thing is that he will be 1 tile behind the settler. That should be ok.

If something pops out of the fog, the settler could wait on Igor. Otherwise the settler will plant the city on the SE dyes in 15 turns from now.

todo for turn 30:
  1. Important!!! First Check to see if MIA sent us IW & Alpha AND accepted the deal. If this hasn't been done don't keep playing stop because admin's might have to step in.
  2. If they have added IW & Alpha and accepted the deal. Accept the deal, and start Writing at 80% (20% lux currently)
  3. rename Settler then move south south (to prevent confusion later)
  4. worker road
  5. Peapants east
  6. Ave Joe west
  7. Igor east
  8. screenshots of current map situation (F8 & f11 as well, for me please)
  9. exit, save, & send to the nuts

If we have Igor go SE instead of E he will catch up exactly with the settler. But only one side of the river will be scouted.

I'll defer to either the turnplayer or the team on this one. I can change the todo list if the team thinks that the SE move would be better than the move to the E

I'd say scouting is more important. There are no barbs (except from GHs), right? No need to worry about them. The only other thing would be MIA turning on us...the likelihood of that happening is...LOW.

I've checked the settings:

Map Size = Standard
Difficulty = Emperor
Landform = Continent
World Age = N/A as it is a 100% hand drawn map.
World Climate = N/A as it is a 100% hand drawn map.
World Temperature = N/A as it is a 100% hand drawn map.
Barbs = Roaming
Accelereated Production = OFF
SGL: on
Statue of Zeus: on but it costs 300 shields (instead of 200) and doesn't require ivory
Wines: Instead of 1 food + 1 commerce wines five 2 commerce and 0 food.

So barbs can come at us it seems. KISS voted NO IIRC, both to brabies and SGL's. Others rely on luck, we rely on the Geek Dep't

lurker's comment: This is an in-game item, and caused by a human error or deliberate tactics/diplomacy between teams. That's not something the game-admins have to be involved in.
If team MIA didn't send the stuff the way you want them to, contact them, not the game admins. ;)
