Desktop help needed

Anyone know how to get this off of my desktop? It showed up the other day and I cannot get rid of it to save my life. Im running Windows XP. Changing the desktop from the control panel does not work.

I cant shrink the thing down enought for it to fit and make sense, but its a black background with a the following text which takes up the entire desktop:

"Warning!
Spyware detected on your computer!Install an antivirus or spyware remover
to clean your computer"

Sounds like some spyware trying to hide itself as a spyware remover.

Scan your computer with Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy and see if that takes care of it.

There's another great virus that pops in the system tray saying "you've been infected with a virus... click here to download virus removal software"... then proceeds to download more junk if you click it.
