Yes, of course. A 24-hour flu prevented me from replying sooner. Anyway, it's looking ugly, folks.

A Great Artist & Great Prophet popped, just enough people for me to start a Golden Age; our only hope of matching Washington's military might at this point.

I soon declared war on Washington. I also gave Louis Flight to get him to declare war as well; Washington is now under siege by the rest of the world. It doesn't seem to be slowing him down any, though.

Our initial attacks were quickly trounced by the half-dozen stacks of dooms Washington sent. He then pushed towards our borders:

He's captured both York & Vlad and still has 4 SoDs coming our way. I don't know how we'll turn this into an offensive push again; Washinton has more units (and probably more production) than us. France hasn't even made a dent in his borders, despite our constant bombardments.

Anyway, it's up to you guys to reclaim our lost land.

I’m going to need either a skip or a swap this time. Wednesday is the earliest I can play any Civ4 game.

This also looks like a good time for a little discussion too. We’re getting our butts kicked by Roosevelt and I don’t see anyway to win this one with only 45 turns left. Do we have any other options? Is a UN victory even possible? Everyone is furious with Roosevelt (who would be the obvious contender), but I’m guessing many would abstain.

I realize the variant was a conquest/domination victory, but our team leader went missing and neither condition seems possible.

Wednesday is ok with me.

Just for kicks, i played from my save and from mike's. It looks like he did the right thing, even though we lost two cities. Stalling and building up more force, FDR just got stronger. In my variant, i was able to retake York and Vlad, but lost Coventry. I was able to build TGD and outbuild him. We do have West Point and the Pentagon.

I wont spoil it, but WW is going to really wack him. I am not sure if it's possible to win. UN is not enabled. We lose if by 2030 we dont have the top score or by strict variant rules, domination before or on the year 2030.

Well, I'm back. Just in time to decide how to lose, it seems.

I'll need to take a look at the save before i have more comments.

Well, it's been a couple days and I haven't even gotten to open the save. I don't think that this is going to work, considering that I'm even between quarters at this point. I think I'm going to need a drop, as I can't keep up with a schedule for my games these days.

A drop!?! You realize there's only 45 turns left?

To be honest, I've been doing everything in my power not to drop out of this one myself. It's really hard to continue a game when the team leader just drops out.

I'll try and play tonight, though I'd like to mention that I'm not very good at warmongering. It looks like we're in a bad position too.

Well, yeah. But I'm dropping all my SGs, so, well, yeah.

I dont think there is anyway to win by domination before the year 2030. Should we just chalk this one up as lost? DH dropped it long before we did.

I have no problem with dropping this one, or letting one of you all finish it out. I don't see a way to win by our desired goals and am unsure if there is any other victory option still open to us.
