The following thread will be about Great generals that were born in the Nation of Terra, starting with the great general Sun Tzu, the first great general to be born in the Imperial Motherland of Terra.

His diary will depict the first and second Terran-American War, and the events that unfolded for both nations.

(Just a note both of these wars are not screen shotted but the ensuing wars will be.)

Spring 1870 A.D.

I'm not surprised, Terra and America have never been on good terms. Our nations first met with good will, but America has to answer for their actions. They have tried to settle right on our borders, and extort resources from us, even demanding that we go to war with one of our allies.

Though all this tension has built up, war did not manifest itself until the expansion of Boston. Novgorod marked our border between us and America, and we know the American's have been trying to settle south near the river to gain access to resources for decades. To prevent expansion, Terra erected a peaceful military blockade. With American settlers having no route through the forests to the south, Washington decides he will Build Boston only 70 miles from The border.

Tensions flew even higher after that as the borders clashed, and despite all diplomatic talks made by our Great Leader of Terra, Washington had the Gull to declare War on us for Border expansion.

I'll have to end my entry here as I can hear the American Trebuchets and Swordsman over the hills. We have to hold the fort until reinforcements can arrive.

Our reinforcements have still not arrived and our swordsman battalion to the south has been wiped out by the American Trebuchets. Our northern Battalion of swordsman have marched north to deal with the City of Boston. When our Mounted Knights reach our fortress, we will have them dispose of these Cannons.

From Intelligence reports, Boston will not be able to muster reinforcements soon enough to keep us away. Boston will be easy pickings.

It is almost time for me to depart to meet up with our Trebuchets and Swordsman Battalions.

Boston's crossbowmen are no match for our swordsman, and as our Knights Begin the seige, our trebuchets bombard the city.

Unexpected naval reinforcements arrive on the coast as our frigates bombard the city of Boston, and within one sweep we have conquered Boston.

Within the next few days we are told that the war is over as Washington has bought out our leaders desire to fight with gold, and even gifts us with foreign luxuries and the city of Boston itself.

The battle may be over, but every one of us knows that the War has only begun. Washington will be back. Espicially after suffering that kind of humiliating defeat.

Winter of 1910 A.D.

40 Years have passed since the last war, and relations with the Americans have stayed the same, if not degraded even more.

And again War is upon us. This time we deal with a much greater army, and with the enemy marches the first actual General of America.

I am currently stationed with a battalion of longswordsman at point Helheim. We have another unit of longswordsman to the south, a company of crossbowman to the south, our Knights are stationed in Novgorod as a mobile offense and defensive unit, and our trebuchets have moved in to the north and are set up 10 miles east of Boston with swordsman escorts.

We are outnumbered 3-1, with multiple American swordsman battalions to the north east moving towards Boston, and archers moving behind them.

This war will easily be won, we have newer weapons, better tactics, and the will of God, on our side. No matter how much they outnumber us we will win. Although I have noticed the English amassing at our borders, and have asked The Great Leader to train soldiers back in Terra for a defense just in case.

We march for victory soon, and I will write back when I get the chance.

It seems the snow storms and northern forests have slowed our men down, I've miscalculated speed at which we could move through American lands. The Trebuchets have launched a barrage at the swordsman trying to cross our border (wiping them out), and our crossbowmen have moved back to cover our advancing longswordsman.

....................Time passes and Sun Tzu receives a message...................................

It seems that the new American invention is, what they call, a cannon. The messenger himself was covered in dirt and blood when he came in, and after his description of chunks of metal raining down on their company, I can only imagine what else America might be hiding from us.

..........................More Time passes as another messenger comes and goes..............

Good news actually arrives, not even 4 hours after the first messenger arrives, another was apparently coming in from the north.

He tells me that the American Swordsman to the north were wiped out and Boston is clear for now. Our ships have sailed north and are now bombarding Helsinki (which wasn't under american control until recently).

I just wonder how many soldiers are actually behind the American lines.....victory this soon feels like a foreboding, and warning to us all.....I have to keep the line even and under control, we don't want any future issues.

Well written. Keep it coming!

Spring of 1911 A.D.

Two weeks ago was the last time I wrote, and a lot has.........happened. As I suggested in my last entry, the Americans had many more soldiers, to say the least, behind their lines. I was right to advance slowly through their territory.

I ordered my northern battalions east, and we soon discovered the masses of the American barbarians falling right on top of us. Needless to say I lost the northern forces, and a clear path to Boston lay wide open. With these soldiers that the Americans called minutemen we were losing militairly and technologically.

All forces south of Boston soon came under attack as well and we lost 2 battalions of swordsman. We were soon being pushed back. A simple mistake even with all the caution i put into advancing our troops. But I would not let the motherland down, i wasn't about to let the Americans touch the soil of Terra once more.

All of our men were forced back into a defensive position, and I, with my crossbowmen escort, was occupying the fort on point Helheim. I wracked my brain for the week after our retreat, wondering what we could do. My men were used to fighting in thick forests and in hills not on the open plains, sure the border was covered with forests, but further into American territory and everything was wide open.

BUT, there were to major things that changed the tide in this war, and some vital flaws in the american army. One the Americans did not have enough strategic resources to mass produce minutemen apparently, and the other flaw was the use of swordsman attacking across rivers into our hills and forests.

The first major change was the rise of another military genius such as myself. Leonidus was a great man whom we lost during the second week of our retreat. He died building the Great Fortress of Midgard. It was completed, and we now held a strong defensive line against any attacks. The Americans had the choice of coming at us head on or looping around the mountains through English territory.

The second Major change was the development of our own version of Gunpowder. With musketmen now in route to reinforce our lines we could challenge the minutemen and wipe out swordsmen. Another advantage was these soldiers were trained to fight in open terrain, so we no longer were at a disadvantage.

We plan to move east, BACK, onto American Soil, we will end the war right here. I have intelligence reports that if we break the line here the Americans will have NO military power to stop us.

Spring of 1911 A.D.

We have broken through enemy lines and crushed all opposition and the cities of Washington along side Helsinki have fallen.

I am allowing Helsinki to secede and return to the city-state they once were, as those are my orders from the Great Leader.

I also recieved note of the peace talks between the U.S. and Terra, about 3 days ago and the copy of the agreement lats upon my desk, I shall rewrite as soon as I am done reading it.

.......................................................................................................................

So it seems that Washington has surrendered all of America to us, along with the resignation to war. He declared peace on a Budapest for whatever his word is worth now and has asked that we leave him Almaty, a small city-state captured during a border dispute.

As it seems, Washington has been defeated and his sanctuary has been reduced to a country that we dictate. In other words you could say he is just a puppet of Terra now. The old Capital of America, previously named Washington, has been renamed Area 1.

And now we must turn our attention to the south. The English Empire has grown to a perpetually massive size, and their military matches that. With all their musketmen and crossbowmen amassed on our borders we must be very wary. I may not live much longer as my life span is coming to an end, but i'll be damned if the English cross our border before I die. I am currently urging The Great Leader that we should focus our efforts on science and building ourselves a defensive military before we let our guard down. The "East Side" as we now call it is in disarray from the fighting and we must also focus on rebuilding what we tore down.

We went in as liberators, and left as conquerers. (minus all the city-states we liberated)

-Sun Tzu
