Hi! I am a diety player but new to the Game of the month forums.

TSG51, with the new patch was the most amazing map I have ever played.:eek:

I just had so much fun! :crazyeye:

Is it possible to have a weekly diety challange? I think it is great for practice and se why you loose and how you can improve. And a lot of great discussions! :goodjob:

Thanks,
Peter

Glad you enjoyed it.

Our staff resources barely allow us to keep up with our current schedule of 2 games per month. So I'm sorry to say that a weekly game is beyond our resources. Deity is also a bit of a rarity as so few players seem to participate in it.

Hi, Old Peter! Welcome to CFC! :)
How about setting up a weekly or bi-weekly challenge of your own in Strategy and Tips section? Post your map and players will take shot at it. Recently there were quite a lot of talks about deity being very challenging under standard settings since the last patch and I guess many folks will be interested to try their luck and discuss their progress with others. Not as glorious as GotM, but it's something. :)

I for one am not good enough to play on Diety. I got swarmed on the last Emperor challenge, and found the King one a struggle and quit. I am all for giving people a variety of different ones, but the Diety ones are not going to be as well attended because, well, they are hard.

I had not tried Deity until I saw 51. I (almost) only use Nebby, so I couldnt resist. I was quite amazed at the difficulty. It was certainly a learning experience and taught me to play a more focused game overall. I generally play on Emperor, but that is a long way from Deity...lol.

Point being, is that I think the occasional challenge of Deity is a good thing as a reminder of how easy we have it on lower difficulties.
