Difference in use of NAME vs DESCRIPTION for Civs

Example:

LOC_CIVILIZATION_AMERICA_NAME is America while LOC_CIVILIZATION_AMERICA_DESCRIPTION is American Empire.

Would changing both to "United States of America" come up with anything in-game as grammatically incorrect? Is the name a shorthand name? Like Name would be "Soviet Union" but Description would be "Union of Soviet Socialist Republics"?

I've experimented with it by changing the Descriptions, and haven't had any problems so far. I'm not sure about changing both the Name and the Description.

The example you've given would be correctly ideally. It's up to you how you wish to name them.
