DIplomacy: Arriving/Leaving thread

I thought I would create our own little thread where we could say when we are available and when we are not available for Diplomacy games.

I am moving in a couple days and internet access will be extremely rare for about a month. When I get back hopefully there will be a game ready to go or perhaps I will have to start one of my own!

I think we should get things going again after the Summer holidays in preparation for the next World Masters Tournament...we would be hard pressed not to improve upon our performance

I have a very limited window of play, since the baby is due October 13th. After that, I'm afraid I won't be of much use due to lack of sleep and having a newborn. July 15th - 19 and July 25th- 28th then August 8th - 11th are no good. Family invading before baby to "help" get everything ready. But any other time is good.

I'm always up for one, provided things aren't too crazy at Uni.

I'll have steady access from January 4th through the end of May, and then I still have access, but not quite as steady.

Well, some of us use "realpolitik", but otherwise, no.

I wonder if there's enough players that we could start TWO SIMULTANEOUS CIVDIP GAMES. So far Broken Resolutions has had, at various times, 10 CivDip players involved in it. Taliesin just signed up, and Ambuel volunteering to take barron's place in that last game. Also, there's probably a lot of people who aren't aware there IS CFC Diplomacy. I bet if we put out a call-to-arms on Off Topic we'd get at least a couple replies.

I know Slappy mentioned he'd like to GM a game at some point - I can do another one here, however I don't like GM-ing more than one at a time and my Tournamnet game has 5 game years left to go (and nobody looks like they will solo) at circa 2 years per month rate.

And welcome back Ambuel. In researching the styles of my opponents, I came across a few of your old games. It shall be an honor to play with such a veteran. No one knows whatever happened to Flatlander Fox, do they? He seemed important.

Sounds good. So if Slappy is the GM, perhaps, we have three players already-- Keirador, Ambuel, and me.

Bad news. Slappy doesn't want to GM a game until Broken Resolutions is over.

Arminius, you might end up the GM if you're at all inclined. I doubt anyone else will be up for it. So if Arminius is GM, we have Gnarf, Taliesin, Ambuel, Magnus, and myself as players, correct? Two more slots and we're good to go.
