DIplomacy: Arriving/Leaving thread

thanks. . .
i still speak in one-word sentences whenever possible; despite what i've noticed as my online verbosity

Ok, so, now we have Civdip14 about to roll along. That is awesome! I would be happy to GM the gunboat game. I've never GM'ed before and I think it sounds really, really interesting to me. Now, to make this less complicated, since we have a limited pool of people, let's wait until one game finishes. Also, I have a week of vacation coming up April 9th-16th.

With that over a month away, this would allow those that have not played much to get some good turns under their diplomatic belts. Everyone can chew this over for a while. I don't mind starting earlier, just I won't have access that week so we'd need to take a break.

Also, if a newbie GM doesn't sound like a barrel full of fun to the group, I won't do it. Instead I'll just GM a later game. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I'm just a bit fearful of starting a four game and burining everyone out. On the other hand, if the interest is there, why not use it. And the deadlines different days with either shorter of longer perieds between turns.

My cousin and another friend are interested in trying to play on a different map. One map is a variang based on Dark Ages England the other based on the middle ages...

PM me if interested...

Arrived.

Since I have been away: I bought a house, Mrs. Fox and I had a baby, I was re-activated and sent to Iraq for a year. (That sucked BTW) ;)

Things are coming back to normal though, and I am thinking about taking on a game rather soon.

Good to see many of you still playing.

Great to hear again from you Flatlander Fox, hope you join us in a game pretty soon. We could finish Civdip002 Expert

Wouldn't mind a chat, I'm thinking of an army career, might do with some advice!

You're a bit of a legend around here. I'm new, and I never thought you'd ever be back.
Games are gonna get rougher. . .

And......what is the little fox, boy or girl? details man, details!

Odd. My last girlfriend's name was Sophia, and the girl before that was Olivia (ambuel's daughter). No lie.

I affectionately call my daughter Hurricane Olivia :bounce: She is, also, way too much fun. Congrats. Sophia is a beautiful name.

So Keirador, when I get married (nobody on the line yet, but someday, preferably while I still have hair), and have a daughter, it will have the name of one of your ex-girlfriends?

I will be touring London and Rome from April 13th to April 21st; and more likely than not I shall be devoid of internet access. I apologize for the inconvenience this causes.

I leave for the airport in an hour. If I find internet access and a few minutes of downtime while in Europe I will try to submit orders in whatever I can, but don't count on it. I'm not sure they have computers in Europe, I hear they still live in mudhuts.

Turns out that the hostel I'm staying at in Rome has free internet access. . . thanks to everyone for waiting, but against my expectations I am still quite accesible.

FYI, my father showed up in Baton Rouge yesterday. I'll be out of contact 'til monday or tuesday.
