Diplomacy Niggles (particularly with denouncements)

I'm gonna ask an informal survey just to try and diagnose somethings. Has anyone successfully denounced a sponsor or been denounced by the same sponsor twice in a game? I have seen condemnation expiration notifications, but I am having trouble seeing whether denouncements can then be renewed?

On the Lua front, the function: GetDenouncedPlayerCounter() never goes back to -1 and IsDenouncedPlayer() always returns false no matter if someone is denounced or not. It's very strange.

I don't believe i have denounced a civ more then once, since for me if i have to do it again then i'm just going to declare war. But as for a civ denouncing me more then once i honestly had never paid that much attention to how many times they denounce me individually but i do get denounced a lot since I play as an isolationist. What the other civs think of me is irrelevant if my army can beat theirs on the field.
