Having it preloaded now is actually almost worse... it's a tantalizing tease! It's sitting on my computer RIGHT NOW, but I can't actually play it...

This is how I was hoping they'd do it: release the code and we could just hook it up steam. Mine's already finished and now I don't have to wait 8 hours for the game to download on release day: pure awesomeness inc. at 10AM 9/21/10 until...I have to work again

Don't worry, it's horribly crippled/encrypted at the moment: you couldn't play even if you tried . I tried opening even xml files, nothing works.

Woah wait a sec... does this mean if I bought from the US version I get to play from the 21st?

It might be that you play based on your steam account's country information (which would be whatever you entered there), but if you bought a US version from D2D it's likely a US key, so all you can do is enter into steam and see what it says.
