Acyually, I am not entirely sure it is a directX issue, but I remember reading somewhere that the problem I am experiencing is usually a result of some problem with it.

First, let me state that I use directX 9, and I have installed it several times from numerous sources.

Also, that my system is:

- AMD Athlon(TM) XP 2000+, MMX, 3DNow, ~1,7 GHz
- Soyo Dragon Plus
- 768 Mb Ram DR333
- 128 mb NVidia GeForce FX 5200
- XP Pro

and that all my drivers are the latest avaiable.

Well, what i am experiencing is that some games simply go back to the windows screen, suddently. Usually, when a mid-game video has just ended or is about to start, but sometimes in the middle of gameplay - it simply goes back to the main screen of my machine.

The specific games I am having trouble with are Bloodrayne, X-Men 2 - wolverine's revenge and Spiderman the Movie.

Any one has any idea of what can cause this, and how can I fix it?

Regards :).

When did the problem start?

I have had some issues during the last month - only now it looks like I have finnally grasped what's wrong (overheating, now solved), and I have changed virtually everything in my computer into the configuration I described.

Nonetheless, I have had that problem with Wolverine's revenge and Bloodrayne before - ever since I first installed them, actually. Spiderman, however, used to work fine, and now it's also malfunctioning.

I can't really understand what is going on...

Regards :).
