Everytime i choose DirectX10/11 which is the recomended, i start a game and after a few turns the game freezes and i have to restart the application. This does not happen when i play using DirectX9. I have Windows 7, 32 bit and a 8800 GTX. Any help?

The "recommend" option is a bit missleading.
It says "recommend" because the game will look better with it, but it doesn't say the game will run with this settings on your machine -> ignore the recommendation.
We have 2 problems here:
- The game runs slow on DirectX10 (the 8800 is not capable of DX11) and
- The 8800 series is a notorious problem child here, we already had several problems with that card (probably partially to due a defective series from Nvidia).
Final conclusion out of this is that you should play on DX9 :/, or get a new graphics card.

Might be a simple cooling and/or PSU problem.
GPU temperature and PSU model/specs please!
