Disabling Wonder Movies

My game seems to crash in the late game quite often when loading a Movie. This is also a hard-crash, meaning it will lock up my pc, and it will reboot rather than kick me to the desktop or give me a BSD. I think there should be a switch somewhere but I can't seem to find it
