Hi all.

First post.

I have been lurking around for a while, and searching too, but for the life of me can't figure out how to get the improvements (roads, buildings, aqueducts, etc.) to display on my screen.

Can someone please help me?

Hi Kobold,

Firstly - wecome to CivFanatics! :)

Secondly - not sure if I understand the question exactly, but either zoom into the city by using your mouse wheel (push forward to zoom in) where you will see your temples, monuments, etc., as per;

or for a list check the city view screen by double-clicking on the name of the city while in 'normal' view and these will be listed down the left-hand side of the 'city view' screen (refer page 141 in manual).

Thanks for the response Cam_H. Unfortunately, that's not quite my problem. I trying to get the improvements to display on the screen as they do in this pic. Right now, I can zoom in on my city, but the only thing that will display are coloseums (sp?), and some wonders. If I hit ctrl + T, the roads, cottages, etc. display just as I want them for a fraction of a second.

I'm stumped.

can you post a screen shot of what you're talking about?

Sounds like a glitch. Roads should show up automatically once you've built them.

One thing: check the bottom, right-hand corner and make sure you don't have the option selected that provides an unobstructed view of the map...though I'm not sure that this toggles the visibility of anything but units.

Ahh, that would be why I couldn't find an option to turn it on. I can post a screen shot of it later tonight.

If this is indeed a glitch, has it been reported? Should I reinstall?

Hi guys.

I wanted to give the update. This was my fault. I had to update windows to sp2, then everything worked fine.

I appreciate everyone's help.
