Does anyway else think this spell is way overpowered. I was playing my first game on Shadow as the Infernals, and just after the AC hit 70, the Lanun summoned Basium, and he cast his spell. Almost all my units died as well as
Mardero & Hyborem (who didn't come back in Dis either), and so did Barbatos, Buboes & one other horseman (don't remember who). Now, I'm Hyborem-less, trait-less, and relying on Rosier to maintain my empire. And for my world-spell, I got an island city! Aaaah!

Where did you get Ice from?
Can you share it with us?

But for your issue, have you got patch H, it was weakened quite a bit in patch H

Oops, I'll edit that now. And no, I'm still on g. I'll try that in a new game. Thanks for the quick reply!

You're lucky, you actually got to play with the infernals for awhile...In my current game, as soon I as started playing the Infernals Basium was called in 5 turns later and killed Hyborem and all my units except a single sect of flies with his world spell.

The Infernals really do need some tweaking. It's hard enough to start up an infernal empire when you spawn in a bad spot already, without having to worry about Divine retribution...

Still think the Mercurians need an entirely different world spell.

Maybe something like divine fury:
Every Mercurian unit gains the divine fury promotion:
+1 Holy damage, +100% vs daemons, 5% chance to wear of each turn.

So it would still fit their battle against Hyborem but without instantly killing him.
