Do we know anything about Babylon yet?

Since bowman has been a balanced unit, iirc in civ 3 it had 3/3 and +50% against melee in civ 4. Then it will most likely have increased melee strength in civ5. Maybe 6 like the warrior, or 5, just to be stronger than the archer. Might even have vs melee unit bonus :).

Its risky to buy a unknown nation, i hope they dont release it for people later, unless for a more expensive price, since they know now what theyre buying compared to the ones who bought it and didnt know.
 
Would having an unbalanced civ really be a selling point?

We see this all the time. They release some expantion or DLC with more powerfull thingies so people feel they HAVE to buy it to stay competitive. Hell, there's even games entirely based on that (free-to-play MMOs are designed exactly this way).

It's a shame, really, but it's still a somewhat viable marketing strategy.
