How do you give a unit hero promotion?

I don't cheat, but I always play on the second difficulty level - that's of course cheating on a high scale.

Or maybe you should give such a hero to all your opponents too, and/or force yourself to resign whenever the unit dies.

It would not be hard to give each Civilization an Adventurer as a starting unit (maybe in place of the Warrior). You'd have to rename them and then buy the appropriate upgrade. However, I wonder whether the AI would have enough sense to get the upgrade.

Heck, I've even lost battles at %100.1 odds.
(Of course I quit but... I didn't cheat.)

I've just a question :
how do you change civ when the game has already started (using WB) ?
it seems to be feasible but I never understood how.

I just figured this out myself a couple days ago.

You switch to worldbuilder, and make a worldbuilder save. If you load the worldbuilder save instead of just returning to the game, it load as a senario, letting you select which civ you want to play as, and (I think) change the difficulty etc.
