Do you like the 90s horror survival/adventure game aesthetic?

The classic example would be Clocktower (the original), for the Snes:

It wasn't by chance that the heroine was copied from Jennifer Connelly in Dario Argento's "Creepers".

A new game with that aesthetic is the second in the series of "Mr Hopps" (the original wasn't that stylish, but this one is).

You can also suggest other games that look like this. I like the style.

I feel like this thread would not be complete without at least a mention of the first three Resident Evil games

Do I like it ? I love it ! I recommend "Alone in the Dark" or "Prisoners of Ice" by Infogrames, both games based on Cthulhu mythos - very entertaining and very mysterious - good for Your brain juice ! ^^ :)

For hardcore Cthulhu fans - there's also "Shadow of a Comet" , which is really hard for an adventure game ! ;)

What about Silent Hill 1?
For people raised on better graphics, I can only emphasize how deeply immersive and terrifying Silent Hill was. Now that we've seen the Resident Evil reboots, I wonder if Silent Hill deserves one? Unfortunately, the subtle gore of the game has been completely overshadowed since, so habituation has happened that I only feel sorry for.

I concur , however if You please give games I mention a try ;) Those games gave me horrid dreams ,and strangely I liked it ... maybe we humans really "like" to feel fear ?

It just gave me the thrills that for example in "Alone in the Dark" when You read a "wrong" book You unintentionally invoke a spell that calls out a demon that will twist Your body and (presumably) eat Your soul.... :O
