I'll start a war in a minute, but No on the breaking of treaties. I also declare war before I start war, but that is only after I try to extort something from the AI.
Well my last game towards the end I kept trying to keep my rep clean out of habit, but I looked at the map and there were two civs left besides me, I could go diplo and keep my rep clean but I was also thinking what difference does it really do at this point of the game to keep my rep clean, by this point I'm ahead in techs and I don't need any lux/resources.
So I really didn't need to trade with anyone anyway
Depends on what type of victory I'm going after. If I plan on going after the U.N. then I try to keep my reputation clean. If I plan on some other type of victory it depends on which civ I'm using. If I have a civ that allows for early expansion and gives me an ancient era combat advantage that makes for a different style of play than a civ that needs time to get going.
