I never mod on my own, but I play the Conquests -- I view them as really great and sanctioned Mods. I also am trying the Mods now. These are outstanding! I will be playing the regular game mostly, largely to increase my skill, but the top mods (I've dabbled with Rhye's, Master of Magic, R a R, the Ancient Med, Warhammer) are also really, really well thought out and I recommend them.

When this poll first started I was a pretty straight no-mod user. But since then I've started playing on some user created maps. Not exactly full on modding but I'm dipping my toes in gently. I must say it's brilliantly refreshing. I can almost see the slippery slope from here.

Call me odd, but I use the default rules. However, I'll make a map I like in the editor, set if for 8 civs, load up multi-player, and challenge myself. :king: No kidding. The AI bores me, and I can play with objectivity for all 8 civs. It's actually a lot of fun if you can section your mind... plus you can steer certain events to happen so as to tell one hell of a story if you want.

Or, I could just be weird. :smoke:
