Do you play video game rpgs?

Press the pause button! LOL

And there are a hell of a lot of spells there, just need to be high level. The design of the game is that you are only a low level character, you cant exaclty go about summoning hordes of demons and calling down the gods with only a level 8 pipsqueek!

I love RPG's

FF7, Baldurs Gate are my favorites of all time.

What's a bioware?

Bioware is behind some seriously awesome RPG's

Google it away :)

Anything by Bioware(TM), and Gothic II and the Morrowind(s). I have the wrists of an 80 year old and a sunlight allergy thanks to these.

There is only one Morrowind. I think you mean the Elder Scrolls series of games, of which Morrowind is the third.

Ah, Jade Empire, didn't know Bioware made that. I've wanted to play it, but I haven't found a Gamecube version of it.

*edit*

Pandemic too? I love Destroy all Humans.

[censored URL] For the game you want ;)

For MODS: after checking, this is totally legal and not pirating as long as you agrre with the licenses and user agreements.

Not if you live in the States.

I played baldurs gate I and II but you have to admit the interface is very cumbersome. How are you supposed to click and direct individual party members in real time combat?

You're not. Space pauses combat, let's you direct everyone for their next actions, including queued movements. You then let them cast spells, sneak around, use items, whatever, until you feel like pausing again for more directions. You can also get scripts which automate much of the combat if you want.

If you're just hacking away at a monster, the interface beats the pants off Final Fantasy... click once and letting your guy slash until the enemy dies is much easier than taking turns wacking each other and needing to select an attack every turn from a menu.

Games
Shattered Steel (1996)
Baldur's Gate (1998)
Baldur's Gate: Tales of the Sword Coast (1999)
MDK2 (2000)
Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn (2000)
MDK2: Armageddon (2001)
Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal (2001)
Neverwinter Nights (2002)
Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide (2003)
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic ("KOTOR") (2003)
Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark (2003)
Jade Empire (2005)
Neverwinter Nights: Kingmaker (2005)
Dragon Age (In Development)
Mass Effect (In Development)

And i just realised.. jesus christ... what about the daddys that are Fallout 1 &2?!?

I was thinking more of the Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights series . . .

I've never actually played Jade Empire . . .

EDIT: Er, this was in (very delayed) response to Ultima Dragoon . . .

Console Bosses haven't suprised me since having to fight Kojo, and the drama in console games hasn't suprised me since Sephiroth ran Aeries through with the Masamune... I couldn't play the game for 3 days after that.

Aeries death seriously pissed me off, id spent ages leveling her up as her specials healing everyone was really useful.

Second time i completed the game i didnt use her when i could help it, and seen as i know what i was donig i didnt really need her healing powers.

No other game has dared kill off another character, mid game, and got away with is so well.

Not to mention all the fantastic side quests etc.

Damn i wish they would redo FF7, just with better graphics.. Christ, if they just redid the sprites that run around, and populate maps with creatures rather than random attacks it would be nice...

I always had Aeris in my party, even had Great Gospell all lined up, then Sephiroth.... I still haven't seen Great Gospell. However, Omnislash is the best limit in the game.

I want them to re-do FF7 with FFX standard graphics.... *sigh*

FF7 was the last final fantasy game I played, as I've never owned a console, and was pretty disappointed with it, so never tried VIII.

Every now and then I consider giving it another try, since when I played it, cinematics had a 90% chance of crashing my computer (made me realize how many cinematics were in the game), and ending cinematic had a 100% chance of crashing my computer, which marred the overall game...
Inifinity Engine still rules though. :)

edit: fixed my roman numerals

erm VII is 7....

why not just get a playstation for it.. you can get that console for about £10 now!

I'm seriously thinking about styarting anew FF7 save file so I can see Aeris again....

And get vincent early.

how would you trigger getting Vincent earlier?

Just to clarify, the last time I got Vincent was in disk 3, so anytime before then is early to me.

Well, while ff7 does have lots of side quests etc...im pretty sure he is within the main storyline, so gtting him any earlier isnt possible..

I used to like the old Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy (I & II plus Final Fantasy Legend I & II for GameBoy) series'.

Do they still make nice, simple RPG's like these anymore?

Well i think the modern DSgameboys get a few.. but chances are you are likly to find those games on the net as small ventures not published anywhere but over the net.
