DoC Faction Wars 3

Persia 3
Maya 3
America 1
Colombia 4
Canada 5

Everybody is welcome to post Mayan videos and videos with Mayan music. I'll start a new war in seven hours, if anyone has any rule changing suggestions (s)he may suggest them.

Make a geographically-limited pre-war (such as World cup qualifying round) where you have groups: Western Europeans, Eastern Europeans, Mediterranean Civs, MiddleEastern, African, East Asian, South Asian (incl. Polynesia), Native American, Post-colonial American. Set the rules so there's at least one civ passing for each group (two if there are many civs in that group), then have the "finals" among these civs.

I'd rather like to see war between civs who are historically related or at least near each other, like no Polynesia conquering Vikings or so except when there's no civ left.

Proposed groupings and number of civs passing to next round for each group:

Ancient Mediterranean Group (6 civs; 2 Finalists)
Egypt
Babylonia
Greece
Phoenicia
Persia
Rome

East Asian Group (5 civs; 2 Finalists)
China
Korea
Japan
Tibet
Mongolia

South Asian Group (7 civs; 2 Finalists)
India
Polynesia
Tamils
Khmer
Indonesia
Mughals
Thailand

African Group (3 civs; 1 Finalist)
Ethiopia
Mali
Congo

Native American Group (3 civs; 1 Finalist)
Maya
Inca
Aztec

East European Group (3 civs; 1 Finalist)
Byzantium
Russia
Poland

West European Group (9 civs; 3 Finalists)
Vikings
Spain
France
England
Holy Rome
Portugal
Italy
Netherlands
Germany

Middle Eastern (4 civs; 1 Finalist)
Arabia
Moors
Turkey
Iran

Post-Colonial American Group (6 civs; 2 Finalists)
America
Argentina
Mexico
Colombia
Brazil
Canada

The number of finalists was determined as #civs/3, rounded up or down. This makes it a bit unfair for the Middle Eastern (they're 4, 1 passes) and the South Asian (they're 7, 1 passes), while easier for the East Asian (they're 5, 2 pass), but you can move some civs around to make it fairer if you want. It's just an idea anyway.

OK. Although I don't like groups, variety is good. My opinion on this is mixed. So, I'll give 23 hours during which you can vote for one of the two choices:
a) Classical
b) Ozqar's
Of course, votes must be bolded.
