On one machine the game loads fine (though it did crash after a few hours of play)

Machine 1: 1600+Athlon WinXP Pro with GeForce4 4200 Ti 128
Machine 2: P4 1.4 WinXp Home with GeForce2 MX 64
Machine 3: P4 2.8 WinXP Home with ATI 7500 (64) Radeon Mobile

Alright, Like I said before, Machine 1 runs good enough for me. I get model per Unit on the map. So 1 Lion, 1 Settler, 1 Worker etc. Seems normal right?

Machine 2 shows things in trio's or pairs. It shows settlers as a family? 1 older male, 1 older female, and 2 younger males. Which I thought was.. ok neat, something new. Lion unit shows 3 lions. Warrior unit shows 3 warriors, Workers seem to do their jobs in pairs. Is this a new thing with CIV 4?? Gameplay is still the same, but its kinda weird that Machine 2 had like a weird multipling bug.

Machine 3 is like everyone else who has an ATI 7500 card. Black terrain, Chesher Cat syndrom on any of the leader heads, or Sid. Water acts weird.

Umm thats about it. Thought I would just share my issues here too since I can't seem to seach for similar threads ;)

Thanks!

I seem to recall reading that the number of things inside the unit is supposed to indicate the strength of the unit. Rather than the old strength bar in previous versions. Or something like that. In any case, the "multiplying" effect you see is the way its supposed to be in Civ 4.

The multiple units is an option you can en/disable in the video options screen. It's probably automatically disabled on machine 1 for performance purposes.

It was like this with the tutorial. One computer loaded it with 1 model, the other computer loaded 2, 3, or 4 models. And thats doing it multiple times, to see it was a bug. Each time the computer loaded them the same way... so why would 1 computer only have a 'strength' of 1 where the other computer loads any game with 'strength' of 2, 3 or 4 depending on what unit you use?

Ahh Ok, I'll have to look into that. Thank you, you replied the same time I did.

Thanks again!
