Does pace affect time progression?

I know that the pace affects how much turns are available and that the cost to research, build etc all scale with how much turns the game will take.
I was wondering if somebody here knows if the year progression is also scaled?
I have never played on epic or marathon so I don't know this yet.

Ex.
Spend 325 turns (of 500) in standard and the year is about 2000.
Spend 560 turns (of 750) in epic and the year is about 2000.
I don't want to be in the year 2000 yet still fight with knights or something because the time is not scaled along with the increase of turns.

Now of course I looked online prior to posting this. I found a few hints that seem to indicate that the years do indeed move slower on slower paces. Just wanted to confirm it on this fine forum.

The game always starts 4000 BC and ends 2050 AD. So yes.
I think on epic/marathon the last 50 or so years will actually have months too, so it might look like you'd be going over 2050 if you didn't reach that point yet, but that isn't the case.

On Epic, that depends - like between 1969 and 1974, that would be a grand total of 9 turns. Early game BC also stretches out much longer.

It's nice to hear that time does indeed progress slower on epic and marathon.
Thanks for confirming this, I guess my next match will be done on epic.
