Actually, this thread turned out interesting when (page 7, after Kael's post) it started about the meaning and pronunciation of some words in other languages, with sheaim as the trigger. Hamster had some good points (i.e. "court lady - courtesan" from Italian-English), and it was more about misunderstandings than about pure gender issue(s).
