Does the same CD work on PCs and Macs?

If I got a Mac, would my Civ CD that I've been using on my PC also work on my Mac, or would I have to buy a different version?

My Mac version doesn't work on a PC, so I guess the reverse applies. They are published by different companies. Also, if you have the Play the World or Conquests version for PC then there is no Mac version available.

I'm not a spokesman for the publishers, so you'd have to ask them. But, yes, that's my understanding. MacSoft publishes the Mac version, and I can't see them taking back your PC version, sold by Atari(?) in part exchange. Email them and ask.
