Does this sound fair?

I want to see someone smash one of the new lockers at my school, since the flimsy old metal lockers have been replaced by lockers with at least 1cm thick steel between each locker, and 1-2 cm thick wooden doors.

It has stopped the bending of locker doors, and started people smashing their locker doors together to make the loudest noise possible.

Whats stopping you from smashing them? Start a revolution!

HAH!! Ametuer. The lockers at my school have inches thick wooden door. But that hasn't stopped smashing of them. The key is to go for the hinges and then you can rip it right off.

I'd prefer not to have my laptop stolen by breaking my locker. And the slight problem that my locker is basically right outside the Maths office, meaning a teacher would not only be likely to hear it, but be able to see what happened within 15 seconds.

And I'm not strong enough...

This is what happened today:

1. I got frustrated cause I couldnt get my locker open. I got up to walk away
2. The teacher assistant grabbed me by the arm... REALLY HARD
3. I yelled at her (I normally wouldn't, but think its because I banged my head), and got sent to the office.
4 The teacher assistant lied, saying I was trying to hurt myself which is why she grabbed me.
5. I get in trouble and get sent home.

Sound fair?

Miss Beatles, you urgently need to acquire a sense of perspective. The fact that an assistant touched you - touched you - does not warrant 'yelling at her' (suggesting curse words, if not worse); and blaming it on the fact that you 'banged your head' is irresponsible. Control your actions or learn to take responsibility for them.

Schools are not 'communist', as you said. The assistant was not trying to hurt you; she'd get fired if she had been, it's not worth it. She wasn't trying to be vindictive and lie to get you in trouble; she was just explaining what she thought she saw. If you'd kept your head and explained rationally what you were doing, instead of blowing your top at the poor woman, you'd probably have been left alone.

So yes, it is fair.

I admit... I didn't really yell... I just said "Don't touch me" very loud...she didnt listen

That's still considered rude in a school environment. That's the way of school. No matter what your opinions of them, or other pupils' opinions, or even other teachers' opinions, the teacher has power over the pupil - and the reason for this is that they know better.

What if it hadn't been a teacher, but a bully? You would've got a thump for your troubles. What this episode should teach you is self-constraint above all else; the pain of biting one's tongue is nothing compared to the bother of trying to pick one's teeth out of the gutter.

Sorry to harp on at you, but there's a lesson in this. And if I teach it to you, that means that under my own logic I know better. That's gotta be good. :cooool:

I have a bruise where she grabbed me..

Yes, but when I said 'don't touch me' she should have let go...its the law... I have rights to my own body...

figures... schools ARE communist

If you hadn't said 'don't touch me' she probably would have let go. And the 'rights' card isn't accepted here, I'm afraid.

I only question why this solution, for me solution was her saying "stay calm, come with me, we will call someone to open it"

That's an open invitation for backsass. With pupils, discipline is best applied with an iron rod. Figuratively speaking, of course.

Am I the only one who is sticking beside Aimee? Honestly, what would you do if a teacher suddenly grabbed you firmly for no reason at all? Me, I would yell my head off, and possibly punch the teacher in the face (if it was male). While it IS legal for a teacher to touch you, you can still have a right to your body.

They can touch, but in my opinion trying diplomacy first. I know im was not there, maybe is not easy, but my way is to make the person to quit to do stupid things by convincing him theres a solution, and calmly saying even laughing that what the child is doing is stupid.

Punching the teacher would be highly ineffective. She'd still be liable to retaliate and stab you in the heart with her handy dandy ball-point pen. What I would recommend as a last and final resort is to take off her head, and then the body will not know what to do. It works for snakes and most other animals with vertebrae, it should work for her.

Well, get the teacher by surprise, and hit hard enough, you can get the teacher to the lose the grip. And if necessary, do some more damage. But that usually gives you time to get your ass out of there.

My question to you is, Raen, what would you do if a teacher grabbed you hard, and when you said "let go", she kept on grabbing on, what would you do? I'm sure you wouldn't stand there.

Difficult to say but in my opinion I would question her first, "why you doing this? what I did wrong?", and then if she didnt replied and applied violence I would rebel too. What im saying is if you are not doing nothing wrong, or question the person and the person replies to you camly with a solution I would be calm, otherwise, yes I would struggle to get out of her hand.

but thats me, every person is diffrent. I am anti-stupidity and injustice. And I would write complain saying I was acting strange, but the soltuion applied by the teacher was not good also, violence is not the solution.

Aimee never went violent, she just told the teacher to not touch her.

Speaking of ******** schools, today, I got in trouble during lunch for laughing.

Back on topic, I would fight my way out if the teacher did not listen to me. Even if I would get expelled for it.
