Does this sound fair?

Aimee never went violent, she just told the teacher to not touch her.

Speaking of ******** schools, today, I got in trouble during lunch for laughing.

Back on topic, I would fight my way out if the teacher did not listen to me. Even if I would get expelled for it.

It's still rudeness towards the authority figure. It's still a punishable offence.

And the 'rights' thing is overplayed by pupils, IMO. It's there to stop pupils being beaten up or molested by teachers. If they're going to start using it to get out of being disciplined, then we may as well proclaim a state of anarchy now, to save waiting until these young hooligans grow old enough to vote.

Grabbing a child for no reason... You know, I wouldn't call that discipline, since the person NEVER DID ANYTHING.

But the assistant thought she was trying to hurt herself. Although if Aimee is telling the truth, and she does have a bruise from the grab, then the assistant should apologise for overzealousness.

The teacher cannot have grabbed her 'for no reason'. That is assault; she'd get fired for that, it isn't worth it. There must have been a reason.

It's more than fair! As a matter of fact, they should have given you the paddle! Bend ya over and given you a few good WHACKS!

Yeah that'll give you something to think about! :D

Pah, you sir are a leftie wimp. Nothing less than decapitation is fit punishment for such a crime. And the corpse should be made to clap erasers.

That's an open invitation for backsass. With pupils, discipline is best applied with an iron rod. Figuratively speaking, of course.

Forget figuratively. I am a wholehearted advocate of corporal punishment. Made my own 5th grade teacher a paddle. Spare the rod, spoil the child. Ah, the good ol' days...

Okay, today... I think it's to do with my banged head... I was listening, but at times it sounded like 'dfhesdyeyshhjudjud'

The same teacher yelled at me for 'not listening' when I asked her to repeat.

And I've been stuttering, and that teacher yelled at me for that too.

Yeh I agree. Kids these days are brats. Damn kids, they should be killed. And failing that they should be beaten.

Hitting can be very instructive but only if you strike in morse code. Or something like 'one punch for yes, two smacks for no'.

This is what happened today:

1. I got frustrated cause I couldnt get my locker open. I got up to walk away
2. The teacher assistant grabbed me by the arm... REALLY HARD
3. I yelled at her (I normally wouldn't, but think its because I banged my head), and got sent to the office.
4 The teacher assistant lied, saying I was trying to hurt myself which is why she grabbed me.
5. I get in trouble and get sent home.

Sound fair?

Next time someone grabs your arm, grab their wrist with your thumb on their palm, twist clockwise and then bend backwards.

I don't think thats a real move but it sounds cool.

Sounds painful... to me!

Ok, I'm with you all the way girl. If someone grabbed me hard like that I know from personal experiance that my reflexes would kick in, and I'de floor them or at least do my best. When someone grabs you hard out of the blue like that there's no other proper response besides immediate defense. I no for a fact I don't stop, and think why are they grabbing me? I retaliate immediatly.

What a shame if the person was grabbing you because you were about to walk into an open manhole or something.

Yeah, I'm not sayng it's a good thing, but my conditioned defence responses kick in very quickly. It's not something I think about it's something that I react to before I even realize what's going on you know?

Now if someone places a hand on my shoulder I don't do that, but if someone grabbed me hard enough to bruise... I gauruntee I would react violently before my brain was even able to tell whjat was going on.

There are manholes in the school now?

You obviously went to a school that had no manholes on the roads at all anywhere within a 5 mile radius. :D

If you've banged your head so badly that your hearing has been impaired, then why are you still going to school?

Asking for repetition usually means that you haven't been listening. You can't really blame the teacher for yelling at you there. The stuttering-related yelling, though, I'm at a loss to explain. Perhaps she thought you were making fun of her?

Part of me agrees with you. That makes me feel guilty, but I can see the point of corporal punishment in schools. We've got a nation of backsassin' chavs here in Britain at the moment; sometimes you wonder what a difference a good paddlin' would do to their 'gangsta attitude innit'.
