Doto [AdvCiv ModMod]

Oh, one thing I wanted to add. THe standard Size map seems to think you can support 11 civs on it. :)
That's the default. I hate to tell you this, but a Standard Pangaea map couldn't support 8 civs. Let alone 11.

Oh, and I got the Horse Whisperer quest. I am not building 12 cities on a standard size map. There's not really enough room for that. Plus, if I did that, I'd end up with tanks before 600 AD. :)
My record so far is tanks by the late 1200s. And I had like 8 cities or so by then. Gunpowder unit spam is fun. :)

You might want to look at the event files ,and fix the rather large requirements. I mean, it's supposed to be based on the map size, and maybe some other minor things. But ow, that's a nasty requirement for horse thing.

I'm not into a developing game, I like to smash my enemies into dust. Not get beat to the Space Race. :) By 300 years.

Another thing I noticed. Apparently, you set Moai Statues to be obsolete at Divine Right. Uh, National wonders should never be obsolete. :( Well, most of them.

Also, really? Divine Right? Am I missing a permanent bonus to all sea tiles. :) Because there's no reason to nuke the bonus Moai gives of + 1 hammer in all water tiles. It's the entire point of building it.

i know, i raised it - you can always cut back...

yeah maybe need to edit those quests a bit.

what speed did you play? i dont like unit spam much.

most of my tests where on 1500 turn speeds.

done.

ill check it out.

krushyn,

i think that theres a setting on each ship that says if it needs a minimum water plots near the city - ill check it.

I always play at normal speed. Longer speeds are usually filled with me falling asleep waiting for my
stuff to be built. :)

Also, I know you raised it, but you shouldn't have raised it. :)

i see, ok im nt so sure about the optimization of the other speeds, but i tried my best.

if you have some tips - tech speed, unit costs and so on, that can help.

Also, I know you raised it, but you shouldn't have raised it.

raised what?

Sorry, the amount of civs on a map. Standard shouldn't have 11. There's literally no map in the game that can be made to support that many civs on a map. For standard size anyway. Huge yes,

Just like tiny isn't known for supporting more than 4 or so.

ok, ill limit the default next time.

i have added to the next version - 3 size city radius depending on city culture,
this was once a part of my mod, and i have decided to bring it back.
this will require some new tweaks to all of the parameters - money - costs of various stuff and more. the 3 size, will be available on a new culture level - higher then legendary (mesmerizing, anyone has a better idea?), so most of the cost tweaks will need to be on late stages.

also,
i have added a few more treats, like -
complete terraform mod

Won't that force people to build cites even farther apart then normal? Or is it just something you don't need to worry about?

It's been awhile since I played with a 3 size city radius.

DavidB111,

not necessarily, since the 3 size will happen at a later stage - think of it as a bonus that cities can grow too, there will be overlapping plots but, some will be free. youll need to check your city health happines and suck and build more stuff to compensate.

Nineliveslost,
hi and welcome, i have changed that option for the pyramids, i dont like that you can have all known governments in ancient times, its stupid in my opinion.
if you want i can explain how to change it, or change it for you.

oh no. I don't mind the way it is. I thought it was a bug since it still says it opens up all the gov civics in the description...

I have a curious question. Is there a way to add assimilation and legends heroes?

love the mod...

hi,

i see - its probably a text i forgot to change - thanks ill fix this.

assimilation - i have thought about adding it actually, now you provided me with a reason - expect it on next release.

right now is not easy to add since it involves sdk work.

legends heroes - im not so sure i know which mod comp is that - can you link me? i know its a part of legends and heroes but if theres a modcomp of it - ill check it out.

how about mastery victory - anyone wants that too?

i have added occational promotions now,
im on an adding frenzy :)

multiple production mod ,

humm well, in my flavor - this mod kinda changes and speeds up game play, i refrained from adding it till now, but, if its imoirtant for you, i have no problem in adding it.

ok i have found the heroes mod, i dont think i will add it - since its rather a big mod part and i dont wanna add more units at the moment.

but, i have added commanders mod - and i will make use of them like a special hero unit - not as agreat general, m thinking of how to make them available - via building (a few national wonders or something across the tech tree) - as a free unit.

another small request... One of the options on start up is to have the AI have random personalities, is there a way for the player to also have his leader have random personalities?

I can't build road, they aren't even in the pedia so I don't even know what is the tech needed to build roads? and I don't see them in the tech tree.
Is my install wrong? I installed the fixed version. should I have kept 2.3 and install the 2.3.5 on top of it?

Nineliveslost,

sorry not that i know, you can only change it through the files to what ever you want.

HannibalBarka,
nice to see your still here,
well - thats weird, the install is just the one of the fixed version,

i saw no such problem on the new version, all i did was to remove one of the road types.

send me a savegame , ill check it out, but perhaps you can make a new fresh install of the fixed version too.

cheers.

I checked last few posts and ....

1. Quests and random events.

I love them! Especially quests giving some gratifying profit from difficult task to fulfill. But during game play I am getting maybe one or two of those. I strongly believe that with some moderation of profits there should be more of it! At least few per era. Turns go fast sometimes and not all quests can be done when you limit the time or make it hard to do. Where are Holly Mountains/peaks? Quest make gameplay more interesting when you play over and over again.....
In addition I noticed that quest for swordsman is not completed when playing Augustus because Praetorians replace them and seem not to count as such. Or I am mistaken....

2. Increased radius due cultural ... etc.

I like that. I remember playing with that earlier or using different mod. The true is that whenever I want to place a city I am looking for some resources around location to support growth. Rarely I have them "packed" so later on when they get bigger some of previously unused plots are now utilized. In addition I often go coastal leaving center of continent for later exploration, at least as long as great wall protects me from those pesky Vandals. My personal opinion: very welcome!

3. Multiple production.

I played with it and liked it. It would be very welcome to.

4. Longevity of wonders.

I also think that some wonders should give profits for longer period of time. If they wear off I would like to see "replacement" with similar or even better impact. I do not have idea which , when and how but I have that feeling somewhere deep, deep inside that some of them should last longer..... deep...deep.... I should give up cold pizza.

5. Maps,scripts...

......... more more more.........

6. Assimilation.

I would be nice. Some defeated civilizations have a very useful units. Besides, everybody knows that resistance is futile! :borg:

Even without those I have to say: I love Your work!

Is there a way to get some fancy promotions when , let say, winning a battle with success chance less than 50/40/30% ? Like Heroic, or others... maybe randomly? Just curious...

Okay. So I just started the new one. And right off the bat I got several of the same messages that say "BugOptions - failed writing INI file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Fireaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods\overlord2.3\UserSettings\Autolog.ini'. I guess that's not necessary, but still worrisome
