ok so,
since i like to create stuff.
i decided to develop yet another system for ranged untis.
so,
i came up with my new title - Ranged Immunity.
desc:
ranged marked units will have special attack feature:
- attack is done as as any unit - move into an enemy tile
- immunity when attacking none ranged units : ranged unit can only get damage if being attacked
- random damage or hit : by game option
- first strikes take no effect to ranged units or vs ranged units
- units cannot withdraw from a ranged attack.
- on victory , ranged attack will not move to the units tile (it wont anyway since all ranged units have a combat limit).
perks:
- more friendly AI code to handle these attack then my previous ranged attack
- no above range 1 area of attack (i have another method to do it but not at this point)
and the best thing,
it will co exists in the game,
with my other Ranged attack, that i also improved quite allot with the ai usage.
so you will be able to choose what range type game you want:
normal
ranged immunity
ranged attack
existing options from prev version:
you could also define if you want range attacks to have a random factor for hits , damage or both (will also affect city bombardment and air strikes - i havnt separated each type to its own option).
if you want to spice up things more, you could define that range attacks do not end movements.
im still testing and working on the code,
but its looking great
