Doto [AdvCiv ModMod]

Since I have vista, I've always had a problem with the bug mod. Either it slows the game down alot in mid to late game, or the the game just crashes randomly at times. So I won't miss it if you decide to remove it.

Keldath,

maybe you want to get in contact with Grave, who included the BUG mod seamlessly into his mod.
There it does work under Vista as well.

really? thats acctually makes me happy, cause i was going nuts, trying to figure why i have the crash....

well then....i guess no bug then.

Thats sounds like a civ i have, it crashes all the time for no reason i can find, i have checked and double checked the ArtDefines and nothing, but it still crashes?

What Commander Bello's said is true, when Gave updated his mod to run on vista, I stopped having so many problems.

Which version of Revolutions have you added?
If it was 1.4, check the revolutions thread, it had some bad bugs for custom installed civilization and it's updated to 1.42 already, fixing this problem.

[EDIT]
P.S. I solved the problem. The installation in the russian windows makes different registry path.
Also it's the problem in the complete edition.

Why not to use
Code:
def _getInstallDir():
    civ4Dir = os.getcwd()
    return civ4Dir
This will solve the problem with ANY registry error.

ok made some progress,

it seems i was mistaken,
bug 2.22 works fine , i merged only bug mod to overlord 1.4, and had no ctd,
so i guess somthing was wrong with the sdk inquisition i added,

i knew its better if i add mods one by one.

but, i cant get iquision python code merged with bug mod,
thats a dilema, well, at least i got bug to work ctd free, next, ill merge revolution 1.42.

I've got a suggestion. Release 1.5 with BUG 2.22. This in itself is quite a big update. Let us help by thorough testing while you figure out merging other components. You may better wait for Revolution to recover from the current phase where many changes are being made causing several issues. You may notice that 1.4->1.41->1.42 were released one after the other with short in between intervals. I am confident that Jdog will get the thing running smoothly eventually but for now this is still under heavy development. Merging Revolution implies compiling the DLL and merging Python and XML files so you don't want to go through that every other day.

your right kali...i have to agree,

well acctially, bug update is the easy part,

the hard part thats keeping me back, is the iquisition mod,

i have two codes,

the one ny bahrmz, the limited religions with inquisition - python
adn the second an sdk code by the woc guys,

if i knew how to merge the python code, my life would have been easier, but i cant seem to succed in doing so.

the sdk code, is probably what gave me the ctd, i must run another merge.

anyway, ill take your advice and hold to see hows revolution mod is going and if its stable.

so ill turn to dale 1.5, and see if it gives any ctds, offcourse with turned off stack attack.

i prefer not to treat the players of overlord2 as guinee pigs , i rather give a stable ctd free mod so they can really enjoy.

for that purpose, god gave us aiautoplay for testing :)

As self taught Entomologist amateur I beg: please leave the BUG alone, I mean inside!
Bug is a quite big addition so .... maybe there is a place for 1.4b or pre1.5 ? Intermediate version? I do not want to push.... but if it works all together well?
I like idea of playing one game and have ability to play another one right after with some or even one new feature! I can live with that! Whatever happen we believe in Keldath because he is right, even if he is wrong he is right ;)

I am eagerly awaiting this one. The combination of Revolution and Influence Driven War is just awesome; it makes the game so dynamic. I think several people here, myself included, would be happy to be guinea pigs if it would help you iron out the mod.

krushyn, Wirklichkeit,
thanks for the support,
i like bug alot, its really handy.

well, i know you guys eager to get the new version....but i wanna wait a little to merge and test,

as i said, my main problem right now is the inquisition mod, that i cant get bug to work with.

stay tuned, gonna work hard on the mod on the weekend.

So I managed to get my interface back for Overlord 1.4 . It did not work with the " File Type: 7z CvPath.7z (2.3 KB, 9 views)" from commander Bello. Instead I just copied the file posted in the Total Realism Mod forum where people had the same problem.

But I have not played yet - will keep you posted.

So it is most probably a problem with my installation path .

Waiting impatiently for 1.5 :please:

RealAtaman
Check your HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 - Beyond the sword\
There's a "INSTALLDIR" key, make sure it shows your real installation path (for CIV4/Beyond the sword, not just Civ4).
This will work with the provided cvpath.py

:woohoo:
It's coming ..... bigger better nastier.....It is a hole new quality.... Simply amazing..... My Ruben sandwich - just made it!
... but seriously ....so glad that You found some time to work on 1.5 Keldath.
:goodjob:

Are you going to add any of those flavor unit mods? While they don't add much to gameplay they are realy, realy, realy cool.
