hey guys,
ive decided to work on a new mod:

"dune wars"

based on the novel dune,
it was suggested a few times,
so i decided to start it, since im a fan,
heres a pic of my terrain for dune,

this will take a long time to do.....

Hi there,
have a strange problem with this mod which i didn´t have with other mods: in the main menu i don´t have any text, but clicking to the sub menus works - e.g. i can click to a custom game (only the frame visible) or the civilopedia but every time without text!!!
I´ve installed BTS 3.17, every patch of this MOD, uninstalled and reinstalled it, uninstalled other mods too, got the newest ATI Graphic-Driver, always the same problem - text is missing...
Does anyone know a solution?

Is there any list ...plus description of Traits? pedia seems not to cover everything...... just please point me into right direction

well,
the one thing the is my downsize, is that i cant do all the pedia entries, its too much for me, i work on this mod days and nights, and didnt have even 1 single game in it....

so i leave the pedias out cuase its time consuming.

you can see what the traits are doing in the pedia i think, not more.

i currently stop developing overlord2 mod, atleast i gather an amount of fixies to do, but so far, not alot of complaints.

i started to work on my new dune wars project,
i intend to release a mod based on frank herbert dune novel,

its a total conversion mod so it tos of work,

so far, i made a complete terrain , resources and featrues.
going for the civs now,

if anyone wish to help me,
and even join my cause ....

its going to be a blast of a mod, the most stable sci fi mod yet,
along with all of the modcomps like revdcm.

im so happy,

my dune mod will be my ultimate creation,
it will be a new way to enjoy epic battles of civ,

the top crown is in my unit movement system.


i expect to finish a first version withing the coming weeks.

Hi keldath, great work on this overlord mod! I adds some new stuff and combines some other mods i really love. So i just want to get it runnning properly

you guessed it i do seem to have a problem with the mod, a CTD to be exact.
It happens everytime ( with different settings, +/- revmod, etc ), somewhere early in the game, B.C. Multiple games with different settings do not matter, though the CTD always happens between 2-25 turns.

I currently have installed the game on another partition then my VISTA 32bit.
Everything is updated properly and all the other mayor mods work seamlessly :\
( this OS could be the prob, but i still refuse to acknowledge that! all other mods work normally )

I've attached a savegame + the pythonerr log, don't know if its any use but.. who knows

P.S. love the DUNE mod idea! It's a great series. Are you going to add all the DUNE lore, including those by Herbert's Son and Anderson?

im affaraid the mod wont work well on vista, not sure why, but im certain in some of the forums on the site this was addressed.
try searching key words like vista - vista crash, and im sure youll find somthing...

sorry i couldnt help much, im working on my new mod now.

Hi,
I have (again) a graphic problem ingame, which makes me really sad, ´caus me game is unplayable...
I played about 200 Rounds but now it changed from one round to the other: I don´t see the command menus, only their frames. And when i go into city view and wanna leave it, it doesn´t really switch to normal view! I discovered Electricity and spreading corporations, might this be a prolem?

Hi,
I´m using XP, installed CIV4 and BTS completely new in english, and your mod worked very well ´til this problem. Tried saving, loading, closed game, restarted some rounds before - and when i came to that round that problem appeared again...
Need a save to check?

cause it sounds you did everything right,

wierd, i ran tons of tons of games and didnt had a ctd.
