I went through the tech tree. No real reason to play now, because Mastery Victory can take a while. :)

Also, for some reason, it only displayed Domination...

Oh, Walrus Preserve is weird. It has 3 times it can be built, but after I build it, it can still be built again...might want to fix that...

All it does is move it around....
 
Hello,

I am playing through my first 2.00 (with patches 1 & 2) game, and i've noticed that i always seem to be a Despotism, even when my government choices are clearly other things.

For example, cities - when they're happy - celebrate We Love The Despot days no matter which government choices i pick. Likewise, the revolution screen always shows Despotism as a "bad" trait, which is really hurting me in the empire-building phase of the mid-game.

Is this a known bug ? Am i interpreting the data wrong ? Have i forgotten to do something ?

Whoops! My bad. On the victory screen, it never shows anything but the domination setting for the victory.

I don't know why either. I had only Mastery Highlighted. :)

No culture victory, no conquest, no spaceship, no diplomatic victory. The only thing it showed ever, was domination, you know, the land area and population one. I won that one.

But yeah, it broke or something.

Oh, how do you gain the uber promotions like Hero, Avatar, Elite, etc? I can't for the life of me figure out how to gain those unless you have to fight a lot more battle then even in Sevo's mod. :)

well in this version i tryed to figure those promotions out, but i think i left them as they where,
i think its too difficult to achieve them - its acctually a "relic" from visa mod :)
 
Yeah, but in Visa mod, they could be obtained...

As for the Mastery, yes, there are no other fields left besides Domination. :(
No Xs, no nothing. Can someone else confirm this?
The simplest way to check this, Keldath, anyone, is to load up a Custom game with only Mastery victory checked, and then start the game. For about 140 turns depending on the speed, you'll get the standard. "World is too young to judge!" But then you'll only see the domination thing once the world is old enough...

This can be done fast as lightning by playing a small/tiny map and always peace or so...:)
The previous version of this mod had it working fine. The only thing I can think is some how it doesn't like certain map scripts and time scales...

That's the only thing I can think of.

mmm...from what i remmber,
mastery overwrites the other victory conditions,
and you get scores according to the things you do, not sure, perhaps ill check the older version see the diff, maybe i forgot to merge somthing. wierd.

hero...yeah...needs a fix...but, theres pleny of proms indstead..atleast until patch 3 which will be out in alnog time i think.

im working my a off on dune wars mod,
so im putting ol2 aside now, well atleast until dune 1 will be out.

i assure you overlord2 players, dune wars gonna be a blast of amod, with some new game play and ideas of mine :)

I'm saying that there's no score at all in the victory panel, by pressing F8...
Just the first listing, Domination, under the heading of Mastery. It doesn't display anything else. Nothing.

I hope this is much clearer, to be any more clearer, I'll have to learn a random language other then English. :)

Also, with respect, I don't think I'll play a Dune Mod. Never got into the novels, never got into the three or four hour long movie either. Patrick Stewart doesn't redeem that movie. :)

started an new game, now after 200 rounds same graphic problem again. Did anyone check or simply played my save? Would be nice, ´cause i like to know, if theres a problem problem between this mod and my graphic card (ATI radeon xpress 1100)... and i must quit this one :(

Oh, I have a few annoyances with modern and Future projects, i'll probably tell you about them after another play through...

The Anti-Matter reactor despite being about 40 times more dangerous than a Nuclear Reactor, really wouldn't have a nuclear meltdown, unless people were using anti-plutonium. :)

Dune looks good, and I understand, why I have to wait :)

I´m trying to check with a friend, why my game disn´t ok. I played a save of his game (overlord too) -and i don´t have any problems.
By the way :sad: i uploaded the wrong save up: THIS ONE`S WITH THE GRAPHIC PROBLEMS

my problems are only on my pc - i checked my saves on other pcs. So i have quit this mod :( but i´m waiting for the dune mod and try that one ;)

Alright, I am downloading it now, after battling all the Ads on those download sites. I look at everyone before allowing it to be saved! :p It also lets me know how websites make money, how safe the site is etc.

It is also why I started my own file storage service. My services are free, we will link support back to here if you like. Normally uploaded files post in a forum that is used for support. No registration, no lines, no speed throttling, no intrusive ads. I hate seeing everyone being charged for things that are free, Mods are not easy to make, no one should make money off you work.

That is my opinion on download services, over the next few years I hope to eliminate some of these silly businesses. Other ways of making money besides rapping the gamer, patches are free, Mods are too, even though some like this one could easily be sold as a mini expansion pack. :lol:

I will give you tons of feedback, I play Civ IV a lot, along with Sins of a Solar Empire (like Civ but in space real time speeds, more complex). Check my website look at my signature the amount of hours for Civ IV this week. :D (Oh yeah I am a recovering World of Warcraft Addict!)

well, i gotta say, i totally agree with you,
and i wish you will succeed, with this, its a blessed goal,
you are currect that modders and game mods are tons of work and should be given fast acces and free download, withour registration and so on.

good to know there are good people around :))

hope you will enjoy overlord2, its 2 years of work....hoepfully, 2 more hehe...
its not perfect though ..but its fun that i can assure.

feedback is one thing i need and enjoy most,
ill be looking forward for your impressions.

i really like sins of solar empire!
but i stopped playing it cause on multiplayer the game got stuck every now and then...
