Double Secret Probation

Not much happened. Met 2 new civs, gained 3 techs.

The good news is we have horses right outside our borders. The bad news is that Carthage have 2 irons in theirs.

2470 - meet Babylon he's up WC
meet Iroq. we are up Masonry

2430 - Port & Carthage up wheels

2270 - trade Porto 180G + 2gpt for IW
trade Hannibal IW for 50 G, TW, & wc

Soul, I was planning on sending some of those warrior to block any passage to limit the Carthage expansion.

I'm also building settlers in both cities. We need more cities. Carthage has 4 already. You might want to squeeze an archer or something out of the second city (I forgot the namE) before the settler builds.

DSP SW 2150bc-

preturn- nada

1- find a barb camp right next door.
2- Amsterdam settler > warrior, also spot furs on our peninsula.
3- lose that warrior to the barbs.
4- Amsterdam warrior > settler, HBR is out there, but no deals possible.
5- moves.
6- hanni wants 23g. dont feel like war just yet. i'll get it back with interest later. the blocade is complete with 2 warriors.
7- Build The Hague > worker,
8- Amsterdam settler > warrior, settler goes south for furs.
9- moves.
10- Amsterdam warrior > warrior, change Rotterdam from settler to Rax (avoids wasted turns and we need a rax town anyway)

dotted some lines.
i think we need to bolster our army asap.
havent met any new cool dudes, and the ones we do know have HBR on us, or are simply stupid.

Why not settle on the desert to keep the foreseted furs? then we could get a cit on the barb hill too.

What about moving the blockade a little lower.

For iron, there is that island just north of us. it has a cow on one end and iron hill on the other. We just need to get there before Babylon runs out of room.

Still having screenie issues - can't resize in paint without chopping the pastie to hel* and gone.

IIRC, built 2 cities and met the Inca. Philo is due soon. Need to talk about what to research and why. methinks we want the big bulb so we can connect the iron real soon. the cannibal on our island makes me nervous. i played with the wall to allow him to slip his warrior back to his own territory. Really don't wanna go after him with ponies.

Theveste! I think we need this town. That 2 warrior road block looks premature and we need to move on it . A space race will require resources. On top of that we have only 1 nice city in our capital, Utrecht is nice now but will suck in the long run and need to be moved, FP in carthage land and 3 nice ones there. Space will be tough but at this level can be done.
Having the balance of the contacts will be nice too. Hopefully the other civs don't get them as easy.

Got it. I'll move the block lower.

For the next tech...I'll have to look at the game first. Do we want to archer rush Carthage?

I think that slinger was suggesting an early war with the blocking warriors, correct?

I'm not suggesting an early war like right now but we should take him out as soon as practically possible. We need his sites for future space part cities and the sooner the better.

The next tech needs to be given serious thought. IIRC i started a prebuild in Utrecht for the Lighthouse. I think the lighthouse is going to be crucial to get us early access to iron. looks like we're in a race to get to the northern island. Philo is due in 4 or 5.

6 turns for Philo, actually. I think we should get CoL from Philo, then straight for Republic. After that, get MM and by then hopefully the GL will be just about done. We've got 147 turns left for the GL, not counting extra shields from more citizens, so we have plenty of time.
