Double Secret Probation

my vote to grab currency with the freebie, then CoL, Rep, MM. I find Currency helpful sooner and more useful to trade. also like markets in the core better than courts.

The problem is that we need math for currency, do we have it now? If we can get MM then I'd vote that way to start colonizing the local islands'

Was your last post a GOT IT IP?
Well, no, post 74 was. ;)

I couldn't get to it today, and I'm not sure if I'll get to it tomorrow. Then Thursday is the first day of school. -_- If barbslinger wants to swap turns, that's fine.

Sure I can swap and play tonight. If I could get a vote total before I play in about 3 hours. I think that perhaps if someone gets math prior to Philo coming in I may trade and go currency. If not it's CoL and Repub full steam.

(PRE) 1500BC - Thinking that the one settler in Rotterdam will be a galley to transport the settler over. Also see tht at 100% science and 1 scientist its Philo in 5. Rotterdam loses one food but I'll change it back each turn to see if I can still get it in 5. We may only be a couple beakers short. All else looks fairly good.

IT - Horses get connected. Capital expands to include gold hill.

(1) 1475BC - Really wondering about the prebuild on the GL. It doesn't look healthy enough to carry out the task. Not really sure what to do with the one curraugh. He has completed all he can do. Perhaps a suicide on the right. We are still missing 2 civs. I was right about the beakers. I set Rotterdam back and Philo is still in 4 at 100%. Send the archer to dispose of the camp. It's time to sling around some barbs.

IT - The Incan pop up wanting writing for Myst. Looks like we can get some decent trade from it. I usually won't trade on the IT but this looks good from Mapstat.

(2) 1450BC - It works out and we get HBR and 105g from Carthage. Disperse the camp and we have 218g. Science down to 80% at 0gpt. Philo in 3.

IT - Inca want us to leave and we get the 1st palace expansion.

(3) 1425BC - Really not liking the prebuild. There is no food for it and we will never get to GL in time. I'm going to let the settler complete in AmDam and then build the GL there. I'll leave the prebuild going for discussion. It only has 12 shields and will max at 2 pop until a
harbor gets in. I'd save the shields until then.

IT - AmDam - Settler > Temple to swap to GL. Iro start Colossus.

(4) 1400BC - Pause the settler in AmDam to be picked up later.

IT - We get Philo and take MM and now go for CoL in 19 at 100% which will drop as AmDam grows. Swap builds in Amdam to GL in 60 which will drop, AmDam is at pop2. Also Rotterdam goes to galley in 1.

(5) -1375BC - We are up at least 2 techs on everyone. CoL is already at 17 with an increase in pop at Gronigen. Workers finished the road to the Hague and move to get the dyes.

IT - Rotterdam - Galley > Settler.

(6) 1350BC - Load the galley with settler and archer. Suicide begins and we spot a new shore.

IT - Inca complete Colossus. Other GW's started.

(7) 1325BC - Suicide survives and sees more land. We begin the trek for iron. I like the spot one S of iron. GL drops to 41 with pop 3. Growth in 5. Utrecht is swapped to harbor but it won't complete on my turns. Carthage plants Leptis Minor in the desert.

IT - More Pyramid builds started.

(8) 1300BC - Suicide survivor sees more land but no civs yet. CoL in 13.

IT - Nada

(9) 1275BC - Survivor sees nothing but 1 fish on the landmass, darn.

IT - Dyes are hooked up.

(10) 1250BC - Leaving the 3 workers that hooked up the dyes for next player to decide. After stopping I realixed roading to Gronigen is what is needed. There is a trade with Port for 274 for Philo I was hoping he would come up with a tech before trading. CoL in 9.

Got it. I'll probably play tomorrow.

Does anyone else have MM yet? If not, I'd like to keep it that way until Colossus and Pyramids are completed by someone to prevent cascades.

Not yet but I think the price was dropping.

if youre refering to barbslinger's chart, i think yoiushould rethink the MM plot, as the entire WORLD seems to alread have MM (except for the Iroquis)

No those are techs we can trade. We are up on everyone. My bad for not including the headers.

Actually, the Iroquois don't have MM. They still don't have Writing, so they can't have MM...right?
correct, it only shows what we can offer. The Iros are isolated.

hiawatha doesn't have MM! he needs writing. We're the tech leaders.

Nice turns 'slinger. i started the prebuild where I didn't as a gamble that the AI idiots couldn't keep up. Good move to move the lighthouse build.
