No! You already know I'm making the banana!

This is top secret! It's called the Ages of Oppression unit pack... and all I'll say is that I personally have use for only one of the units. It's my first truly unselfish unit pack I've made so far... :p
HEY EVERYBODY, DP IS MAKING AN AGE OF OPRESSION UNIT PACK!

:)

didnt realize it was there (after all, the last tiem I checked it, the only mounted unit for afican was a guty on a damn zebra; painted horse may be a jutsifcation, but o for one think they just would have left it a reguler horse, even down in Zulu land...

So what is the age of oppresion, when the US government started income tax?

Hey, ozy, you know where a man can get a list of all the civs NOT in the game already complete with military leaders, scientific leaders, etc.

I remember Wernazuma was working on such a project at Apolyton, but I don't see that thread there anymore....

Your single best bet is probably:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centuries

although this is organized by timeline not Civ, it's pretty good, with many branches to follow.

Also of interest might be the Regnal Chronologies:

-Other than that, I have a LOT of regional / era-specific sources. Let me know what you're after. :)

Hmm... but none of our hard-working lads have compiled all of this stuff into one comprehensive list?

Actually, I'm looking for Mali, which I'm adding to the game since we have a UU for it now.

Okay... I'm posting a preview of the Balearic Slinger. I don't know what else this guy needs... Although, I've seen that he has some kind of cloth slung over his shoulder to carry his stones. I don't have anything like that unfortunately... but I do have things like satchels and pouches. If you professional historians of the ancient Mediterrenean out there know if that'd still be historically accurate, I'll go with that... Otherwise, I'll bust my hump looking for something that could work as the stone holder pouch thing.

I really like the looks of that slinger. :goodjob:

Humble request. Perhaps the civ colour is a bit dominant. Could this chap perhaps be given white clothes instead? Or perhaps dark green clothes that could render him available for many Mediterranean/ME civilizations.

You're right... I've learned my lesson about civ-color... Actually, I was able to find a wrap pouch for him to keep his stones in... so maybe I'll make THAT civ-colored instead and make the tunic some other color.

Why white?

Cool.

A darker, dirtier, green tunic would make him look poorer. I guess most slingers were not exactly from the top of society. And I like the sound of the civ colour placement. :)

That was just a brain fart of mine. I just thought it would make him a bit more “Greek” looking. But I guess that would make him a bit too exclusive to the Greco-Roman crowd.
