big shock, I am a huge Whedon nerd and have been for some time. so there was little to no surprise that I adored Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog (after spending a couple of days of "yikes. that guys has gone nuts" followed by some days of "meh, maybe he could pull it off" and some weeks of "oh my gosh I can't wait").
now, being the loyal fanboi that I am I went out and got the DvD. listened to the much anticipated musical commentary and was then stunned into silence, broken by the odd giggle, for about two hours of watching, rewinding and rewatching it. the quality of the songs is at least on the level of the original if not beyond it (at least, for a nerd like me) though it seemed like everybody wanted to ham it up a bit like Nathan Fillion as far as the voice acting was concerned. fun as well, don't mind.
"I am better than Neill (Patrick Harris)" has to be one of the most enjoyable songs ever.
anybody else had a geekgasm over this?
pic. yay!
