When do you think people should be allowed to drink? In USA the drinking age is very high(21), while in some parts of Europe its very low.

Personly I think it should be 14.

Never! Drinking as destory so many lifes!

it's not the government's business at what age people choose to drink. I voted 12 or younger because there should be no such law.
crap I forgot that option:(

Well, alcohol can impair growth. It's not a myth.

did I say alchohol was good for people or that the idea it was worse for younger ages was a myth?

I just don't think it's the government's job to protect people from themselves.

Children can't always be held responsible for their actions as they don't always have discernament. True, not adults are responsible, but there are far more children who aren't responsible.

And alcohol is more dangerous at younger ages because the damage done is more likely to be permanent.

the age should be 12 or younger that way the cops dont have to worry about picing up illegal drinkers at all and ether way young people are going to drink wehther u like it or not:D

16 is a good age to get drunk. Yes, it is.

I was already 15 when my government decided that Denmark needed drinking laws, and thus I never experienced any such.

But while I have been, and still am, quite an ardent party-drunk, I think the Danish legal drinking age should be raised to 18 instead of 15.

"The worst thing you see is an underage drunk"

Me during last saturday night

I was drunk and i'm only 17 (it was ment as a selfbashing pun yes)

14. That way, you can actually teach kids responsibility with alcohol legally, and avoid a lot of the social problems that are a direct result of making people wait to turn 21 to drink legally.

there should be none, let the family decide when, if or where they'll let their kids drink. and as long as you only hurt yourself there should be no law against it. large amounts of alcohol aren't good for you i don't think anybody disputes this(and even teens know this) so if you get cirrohis of the liver at 20 well there is something to be said for natural selection

I say never! I just don't see why drinking is legal and marijuana is illegal. (U.S.) If one is banned then so shall the other. But if both were legal I'd say a good age is 18. It's hard for me to understand why a young man or woman can fight and die for our country and still can't get a beer.

IMO around 14/15 to buy alcohol. As for drinking, that's their parents business.

I've always thought it's strange places where you can be old enough to join the army but too young to drink, should be 18 for boath of them...

I'm mostly with Hitro on this one.
14 for getting light alcohols, 16 for getting strong ones, no age when they are with an adult.

This kind of law is stupid. Why forbid something that can be so easily obtainable?
I mean, it's very easy for a 10 year old to get some vodka, and here in Brazil the drinking age is 18 and whoever sells alcohol to minors go to jail. But nobody tkaes the law seriously, as it would imply sending some million persons to a already crowded jail-system.
