Sure, it tells you when you enter an era.

But I don't see that info anywhere on any screen. You can look at a city and see what you can build, but that seems awkward.

Isn't this info anywhere?

Why is that important?
1. Tech tree should be obvious enogugh, if you have researched 1 tech in modern era you are in Modern Era. If you fully researched all techs in Industrial Era you are automatically considered in "Modern Era".
2. available Policy trees should be enough. Piety is unlocked in Classical, Commerce and Patronage in Medieval, Freedom* and Rationalism is unlocked in Renaissance, and Order and Autocracy are unlocked in Industrial Era.

You can check the tech tree to see which era you're in and which tech will bring you into the next era. Top left button that looks like 3 down arrows -> beaker icon.

Check the technology trea and look at wich era you're research is you can sea it at above the tech tree

Or you can go to the social policy screen If you can unlock piety you are in the clasical era.

Medieval, commerce, patronage

renaissance : rationalisme,freedom

industrial : order, autocracy

I just said that!

or you can click diplomacy overview (but I think that only allows you to see your opponents' current era)

Or you could take a look at your workers... If they're in overalls and helmets then you've crossed into the Industrial Era ;)

Another method: Save your game. Go to the Load Game screen and highlight the save. The current era should be displayed.

Yup, it's in the tech tree, thanks.

There was a blue something mod to CIV IV that made the font larger. I sure wish there was something like that for CiV.

They're similliar -.- besides, I don't really care, it just annoys me people don't read every post in a thread with like 2 replies. I can understand if the thread had 50 replies.
