Tonight the first game of the season between RBC and FC Zwolle. Any speculations?
According to the Volkskrant, both teams will end at the bottom of the table at the end of the season, so that'll make THIS the first 6 point game of the season as well...

I think these two clubs, together with excelsior are indeed the ones to demote.

Ajax-FC Utrecht 3-0
Excelsior-PSV 0-2
Feyenoord-NEC 3-1

Is Ajax still the top team? I bought a cool-looking T-Shirt in Amsterdam when I was there, but I didn't know it was an Ajax soccer shirt. I biked down to Rotterdam, and there were some dicey moments in a bar before I realized what I was wearing. Still have the shirt, no scars.

Man, you are one lucky bastard!

Ajax is going to be the top team again, after some lesser years they got themself back online! Hope they do well in teh Champions League!

 You should have bought the orange shirt with KNVB and a lion on it - much safer to wear anywhere in the country!

Living in the states, I can't follow the league so closely. So I'll play Championship Manager instead...

NEC!

Only 40 minutes to kick-off now!!!

I'm guessing Henk Vos will be the first to score a league goal this season. After all, een Vos verliest wel zijn haren maar niet zijn streken! ;)

Yeah, but don't think of continueing your Europe journey eastwards... ;)

I personally like Ajax and hope they'll make it again. As long as Twente shouldn't suddenly improve significantly, that is. :D

Only surprise to me was NAC showing Roda all the corners of the field but still only managed to get a draw. They really played some good football which unfortunately isn't always the case in the Dutch league. :(
Also, Tomas Peto getting a terrible injury wasn't a pleasant sight. Picking up an injury in that manner could happen to anyone trying to perform to the best of his/her ability I'm afraid.

Add to that the pretty annoying new eredivisie trailer. And I thought that one from last year was annoying...

But besides from the first 20min good game against the turks.

(these idiots still think you can buy a winning team when you contract a couple of second rate brazilians and a couple of has beens

Well, the CL draw has been concluded, now we can make up who is gonna make it and who not. I think PSV is going to have a though time in Poule A. Also for Feyenoord it won't be easy I guess... Ajax has the best cards IMHO. They should be able to make it to next round!
