Hello.
I am one of the many people who really enjoyed the DYP and RAR mods for Civ III.
I want to ask if anyone knows whether the team who created it is making one for Civ IV too.
Any info?

(plz be yes, plz be yes)

If you like Fantasy Mods try out Fall from Heaven. It currently has 94 Units, 105 Buildings and 99 Techs. Most of which are completly new. It may give you something to play with while we are waiting for DyP.

It also has spells (Fireballs, Meteor Swarms, Entangle, Bless, etc), Disease that spreads between units, units that summon Elementals and Demons to fight for them and more.

To early to say - yes or no. !!

To produce a good mod such as DyP and R&R you need to know the original game inside out. Then plan all the changes you want and consider the impact on basic game play etc.

Get to know Civ4 first - then maybe in a years time (more or less ??) - you may see a DyP/R&R mod.

Just remember - Isak who did all the hard work getting the DyP/R&R mods to work is a consultant to Firaxis - working on modability.

So who knows what the future may bring - no promises though. :)

Just do not hold your breath yet.

I'm not sure he did all the work, I got the impression Kal-El did more (correct me if I'm wrong Isak!).

I'm more eagerly anticipating Rhye's modding effort, although he seems to have fallen in with the Firaxis lot as well. Maybe they are both making mods for the expansion pack?

You missunderstand me. :)

Kal-el was the originator and the brains behind the mod. He had the originnal vision and a lot, if not most, of the ideas for the mod. :goodjob:

Isak was the implementor - that is, he did all the hard work of getting everyone elses ideas etc to work. :goodjob: :goodjob:

I did not say he did all the work - just the hard part of getting it to work. :king:

I think even Kal-el will agree with me on that point.

I was by the way - a later member of the DYP (and R&R) development team. :)
