It's no easter egg AFAIK (as are the sid's sushi and civilized jewelry thingies imo)

Just a city claiming both is pigiron city and kmad seems to... like these.

Kmad seems to have been some legendary female privateer-loving player of a high caliper that stopped posting a bit before I joined...must have had some interesting posts.

Behold, the necro-thread!

There’s some cool stuff here that i hadn’t noticed before. Also some surprising omissions.

For example, when you open the diplomacy screen to another civ, and they say “Now i have a [military unit]. Ho ho ho.” That’s a reference to the movie Die Hard, where Bruce Willis’ character pins the message “Now I have a machine gun. Ho ho ho.” on the shirt of the first terrorist he kills.

On the parchment beneath the animated Firaxis logo when the game boots up you can clearly see a pirate from another popular Sid Meier game.
