Easy fix to Jungles

too OP once science from unis kicks in since camps dont remove jungle/forest

though i feel clearing forest/jungle should take the same amount of time,and require the same tech to do so

i think its balanced by the fact trapping is tier 2 tech and building stuff in jungles takes more worker turns? (plus, later you'll have to replace them with trading posts)

Clearing dense jungle requires no more technological advancement than clearing dense forest.
 
Why u think it should be 'fixed'? After unis jungles are good, late game - awesome. Do not forget of possiblity to take +1 culture from jungles pantheon.
 
I think that just waiting for unis is fine, as long as it's not your capital, since then you get the +2 science, then you can just get some workers to make a bunch of trading post (which don't destroy jungles) and suddenly you have a bunch of +2 science +2 food and +1-2 gold tiles.
 
Technically incorrect. Mining removes forests, jungles can't be removed until BW.

Im talking IRL, I never understood why the ability to chop forest jungles come with different techs in game.

Building camps in jungles doesn't take longer - I sometimes find truffles in jungles and the build time is the same as in forest.
 
You sure? The only thing I see in jungles are Bananas, Gems and Dyes, not counting strategics
