Yeepeeyay! The Dungeon Siege killer, The Elder Scrolls III has been released (at least in the US but I don't care :) news goes at lightspeed ;)). I have waited for that game for soo long. The first one was mythical, the second one a bit disappointing (and bugged) I hope this one will enter the legend again.
I'm "testing" it.... Who else have, huh, purchased it? :)

Kindly post a report/review. :D

I've heard the sys requirements are rather high. What are the minimun specs?

Alas I didn't have much time to play it, I'm packing for holidays :)
Bastard! Don't tease me! When is the GK store going to be open again? I need to go out and buy a new HDD!!! ;)

80 Gig is the sweet spot right now, 102 + 7 S+H = 109 :)
better than your 85$ for 40 :p

I merged the two threads together...renaming GKs to be similar to spy's.

He he he, the store is reopening, actually is already open again :D
But comcast users s** a lot, especially horses :p They drains all my bandwith and even kill my MSN

Shhhhh ;)
the game absolutely rocks Spy....I am sure it could be better in some ways but I am drawn into it. Unfortunately, unlike our human bodies, my computer is only half the man GK's is.
I have a Duron 750, 512 Megs of PC133 RAM, 32 Meg Matrox G400 AGP Video card (pretty slow nowadays in other words) and I have to run the game at the absolute minimum to get it playable. I have the shadows turned all the way down, the resolution set to 640x480, and the viewing distance set to as near as possible (the game is a constant state of fogginess b/c of this). I OCed my processor to 950 and the video card to 110% and I was able to set the viewing distance to mid-way but the game kept crashing every 5 minutes....so I had to revert back to being stuck in the fog. If your system is at least as good as mine (256 Megs of RAM if you are running Windows XP would probably be enough, or 192 in Windows 98, any less and it is not enough) then the game is playable...barely. I am willing to deal with the general slugishness b/c it is so much fun. I like how the music adjusts in mid playing to represent a battle and when the battle is over it reverts back without missing a beat. This is the one thing that I have running in the game that I could turn off.

What I wish for the game:
I wish the game was more bright and less drab.
It ran faster on my computer. ;)

and that is a Ti 4600 you mangy mongoloid! ;)

- sigh! I need to upgrade my junk! I loved Daggerfall, that soaring fantastic awesome (but quite buggy) game. So I need Morrowind, but I need a new computer more.

Well I just upgraded my computer, all though I have the game already. (pre ordered) and I've just begun to sink my teeth in it, I can safely say it blew away all my expectations, and they were high. The game rocks, and rivals the likes of, dare I say it, Civ iii.
There are millions of quests. For one example I had to collect a debt from a ...er... club owner (hehehe) she wouldn’t pay, so I bribed her, with a hundred gold, she wanted more and I didnt have it. But now she was a little more open mouthed and let loose that there was "a madman challenging people in the mountains"
I figured if I took the challenge I would get rewarded, so when I found him I immediately challenged him got my ass kicked and had to reload my last save, again and again but I got him, and when I did I found a VERY powerful sword, the best armor, and a hell of a lot of things I could sell. (my best weapon before I fought him was worth 120 gold, his was worth 110,000:eek: ) That is just one example there’s tons of stuff like it. everywhere you go.
All in all it has every thing I crave from a game, a disassociation with reality and endless depth.:king:

Making spells is a bit weird. It seems that you can make spells that are a lot better than the ones you can buy. For example the spells that replenish lost Strenght: The spell that you buy has a duration but there is no need for a duration on a replenishing spell and adds uneed casting cost and difficulty. I made a spell that returned the same amount of energy for less mana and difficulty. Has anyone else noticed this? Plus how do you get rid of spells you no longer want?

Actually, I have. But I cant think of anthing to do about it, is that a bad thing? What level where you?

I agree with you here, For instance I have a Cast least bonewalker, and a cast greater bonewalker. Its damn annoying having to cycle through 50 spell, to find my levitate one. But you can still do some pretty cool stuff. I just became an assassin by talking to "shady figures in the Vivecs Arena".:goodjob: No its not everquest, but like I said its way better than Daggerfall, Way better.

So I am guessing there is no way to get rid of spells. :( Damn, well I uninstalled the game b/c I don't have the time in life to spend playing such a long game (as great as it is). Maybe when I get back to it someone will have discovered how to get rid of old spells.

Yeah. A plug-in perhaps?(:( doubt it)

Did you beat it, the game that is? How far are\were you?

Oh, I only got to a little past third level with my character. I did a few side quests killed a diseased queen slug thing and traveled around, Killed off a clan of snobish elves and stole and sold their clothes. No I didn't beat it...not enough time or computer power to really play it much. Figured out a way to get a shield and helmet, by stealing, that were really powerful. There was a guard in the shop by the shield and helmet were sitting out. I grabbed them both and then clicked on the door really fast getting me away. I then dropped the shield and helmet outside the shop, walked back in, got arrested, spent a few days in jail (better than paying 4000 gold!!)(a lot of my skills went down but some actually went up). Went back outside the store, picked up the shield and helmet and my armor class went up by like 2 points. I think they were both like AC 13. Can't really remember. I just know they have better aromor ratings that my other armors.
I was playing a Spell Sword (I think that is the name). Darn, talking about it makes me wish I didn't deleted the game!!

How far are you?

Well, I don’t want to spoil it for you but..... You know the Nevarnine (sp) cult? The ones that believe The Nervar, A great general, who united the dark elves. (dark elves are apparently the aborigines of the Island we’re on) Well the cult believes he will be reincarnated And it turns out that you’re the reincarnated Nervar! Almost... First you have to fulfill the Seven Prophecies.

That is were I am, on the third one. The reason this is important is because I didn’t think The main quest would be this big of a factor( I thought it would be a lot smaller)... But it is a big factor...First You have to prove yourself to the Nervanine cultist, “ashlanders” They live in small tribes scattered around the isle. Like I said earlier The Umbra sword, Is VERY helpful, im convinced it’s the strongest in the game.

I wont spoil it any more, but the sheer size is unbelievable. And have you tried the editor? I made a plug-in where 15 guards were following me everywhere. I also heard you get a “stronghold” a kind of castle you get if you advance far enough in “house quests”(you have to join one of the three great houses) But you can freely put all you extra swords, shields, books, armor, lock picks, and other misc. things. The more quests the more (bigger) it gets, and the more chests\crates and barrels to store junk in. The whole point of the best Rpg’s is junk:D
