I placed my vote for Harrier for several reasons. He has the mindset needed to do this, he (so far) has had some excellent ideas, and he's got the organization skills.

OF course, I'm not quite sure if he is a he. You are male, right?

Need I say any more - oh so modest. :)

Yes he is a he.

If your not sure whether to vote for me or not - read my posts in;

Constitution Discussion : STARTING FRESH

Starting at post 53.

Harrier.

Good Luck, Harrier. I'm glad that, at least according to the polls you'll be one of the new people in the council. For what I seen so far I think you shown the necessary skills and maturity to draft a constitution. I'm pretty sure I'm not getting in as my 'friend' posted a message that I believe killed my chances.

3) I believe that the citizens should hold more power than the government. I also think that their are certain decisions that the government can't make but must be made by all of us the citizens through polls, such as declaring war and to make sure the government can't get around this by having the AI declare war the game should stop there until the populace has had a chance to say how the war should be fought.

I voted for this dude he seems like he pays enough attention to detail and is anal enough to write a constitution. Can you say anal on these boards?

Welcome to CFC! :D

My opinion is that this was a normal usage of a term in its correct context -- though don't have enough background on Alphawolf to know if it is accurate.

The autocensor didn't flag what you wrote, though it isn't the final arbiter. If you ask yourself this kind of question then consider the possibility that the answer might be no. We're not prudes here, per se, just keep it within the bounds of normal conversation that would be appropriate for ages under 18 and you'll be fine.

I wonder what this Alphawolf will have to say about that. I guess that I'm one of the people that censor's for, I'm 15. Civ4 is my first Civ and needless to say this is my first demogame.

I think it would be more useful to think that if you grandma wouldn't say it (unless she's like mine and has a worse mouth than you do  ), it's safe to say you shouldn't too.

I think the wolf is as lawyer, so being a*** comes with the job. Speaking about bad words do you know how hard it is to be able to join polite company after bootcamp with out droping the F-bomb? It's not easy.

Funny. I'm really not. And I'm not a lawyer either.
My oppinion of most lawyers.

well do you feel that religion specific groups are fine, or will you push for their outlawment?

The right to assemble is a fundamental one; I'll not push for any group to be outlawed in the constitution. If such groups prove to be detrimental in the game; we'll do something then.

Nice political trap question, I have three choices to answer it
  1. Say I'm for them.
  2. Say I'm against them.
  3. Or ignore the question.
If I choose 1 or 2 you can say how I'm wrong, and if I choose 3 you can say that I'm a coward for not answering the question. Assuming the age you put in the Citizen is correct I congratulate you on being so politically devious as a young teen, you have a definite future in politics or journalism. Was this for your paper?
I'm basically neither for nor against, but I'll not try to get them banned until I see what happens. I wish you good luck as their is sill a couple of hours of left and you might race by me again.

Edit:I have to run to class so any other questions won't be answered soon.

Thank you, no the paper has not published yet. i like your point on the trap question, but it isnt one. i have already said that i am against religion specific groups. i am fine with a group that pushes for the implementation of a state religion and when picking the religion to push for provides some decent points. This means that you cant contact the president and say, change the state religion to judaism because i am jewish (even though i'm not)

Sorry I'm new and a bit lost what is this talk of religion specific groups?

well with religion in civ4 a new issue has emerged, should we allow partisan groups that push for a certain religion.

congratulations to alphawolf and harrier, i was so close, but you guys won, again congatulations! i know that this will be a great constitution.

Thank you RoboPig. I think I understand your question better know, thanks to Gorillagorilla's question. No I don't like these groups but they shouldn't be banned. If you look at my random idea of a government, you'll see the Legislature (all citizens not holding an office during that term), changing the state religion should be one of the things that only it can do. I forgot to include it though. I really don't think these groups will matter as they must be able to persuade more than half the citizens to their side. Something like NRO is completely different. Does that answer the question?

yes, once again, you will make a great founding father:)
in the meantime this is what i feel like for losing the election in the last 30 seconds:cry:  :( :( :aargh: :aargh: :wallbash: [pissed] [pissed]

If I understand right congragulations are in order for Harrier and Alphawolf. Awolf you my not be a lawyer but you sure sound like one.

Yey for Alphawolf and Harrier! Now make us newbes proud.
