Has anyone found a way to upgrade a standard edition to deluxe? I was gifted a copy of standard but want to play now :)
Civilization VII official FAQ has bad news for you. It indicates that upgrades are not possible during early access: https://civilization.2k.com/civ-vii/faq/

Why is anything anything? That I can not answer.

Ok. I think the 30 euros thing might be a mistake or a mislabel. This DLC pack already has negative reviews on Steam (though only a handful).

What makes you even distantly think that?

Base 69,99 + DLC 1 29,99 + DLC 2 29,99 = 129,97 = Founders edition = same thing.

Would you except them sell less separately than with founders? That is...

I appreciate the snark, but I guess I misremembered what was included in the Founders, or had assumed that the Advanced Access + Founders Leader Personas + Founders Cosmetics had some kind of monetary value.

I have to say I am shocked that they are charging $30 per DLC pack considering they are just a few extra civs, leaders, and wonders. It's hard to imagine how much a "full" EP will cost at this point, if they are pursuing this model at all. A full EP would (hopefully) include more than four new leaders, more than four new civilizations, more than four new wonders, and new gameplay mechanics.

Honestly I thought the 30$ included both DLC collections. I am shocked its only FOUR civs and 2 leaders. No wonder people are pissed

Those are the same $5 DLC as in Civ6. And providing the amount of content each civ comes with (including the associated wonder), I don't think the criticism is valid.

Sorry, it is in fact the Deluxe CONTENT Pack that is sold for 10€, and it includes the Deluxe COSMETIC Pack + the 2 Personas.
Just a general comment: Getting deluxe and founder should net something. Now it gives you cosmetics and personas free. As it should be compared to singles.

I see prices very well aligned to history and today.

In general questions if prices for civ have been too high I actually do not care. I leave business model decissions (best profits on what price) to the companies themselves.

I can afford the few games I really want to play.

I don’t think that will be an acceptable explanation to a lot of players, but I get where you are coming from. Many will say that civs in VI included the civ and its leader.

Now that civs and leaders are separate, it doesn’t feel right to charge $5 for each part. It’s also nearly half the cost of the base game for relatively much less content.

I understand that a lot of work goes into each civilization now, including wonders, but I think they have painted themselves into a corner now with this model and how it affects DLC pricing.

I bought the Founder’s edition and don’t regret it. I’m happy to support the project. However, I don’t expect these first DLCs to be well received or reviewed on Steam.

Yeah, but it's a reshuffle. Like you get 4 civs, 4 wonders, 2 leaders, some natural wonders and cosmetics for the price of 6 previous DLC containing a civ and a leader each. It looks fair to me, but of course, it's totally subjective.
