Emperor Cookbook I: Ghandi

I'd love him (plus that rules out the jerk AI), but ChroniumL spoke about an ind leader...
Anyways, the leader is not that much important, we should just switch traits from previous game... and reach a consensus soon

Roxlimn: You really don't like Industrious, do you? ;) There are a lot of "not-overpowered" leaders & civs out there, enough to play all the challenges we need. Going with Louis or De Gaulle this time doesn't mean that a future challenge can't have Peter. Besides, Ghandi's already been used and he's Philosophical. If Chromium's policy is not to have the same trait in two consecutive game that rules out Spiritual and Philosophical leaders. (although I agree that Philo is less of a game changer than Spiritual)

I might be able to make a map for you... Btw, update the first post eh?

carl corey:

Actually, it's because I think there's been an entire bunch of Ind playthroughs already. I find that they play extremely similarly because Industrious facilitates Wonderspamming minor or major.

I would actually like to see the effect of Expansive pointed out a little more - like "here Expansive allows us to get out the first worker slightly faster, which means we grow a little sooner and have one more round on the subsequent Warrior."

The Ind leader for that is Bismarck. Between the Ind bonus, the Granary bonus and the Worker bonus, the guy chops out Wonders and expands really well.

How about mehemed then? Organized and expansive? Or too strong UU? What parameters do you want for the game? normal or epic speed? several continents? Coastal start?

I would like that, personally. I'd like to see how Emperors use the Hammam to effect.

I think the map settings you mentionned are the ones (with epic speed).
On leaders, I have a sweet spot for organized: the harder the game, the better it works for you... Mehmet and Nappy are very good and versatile. Let's see what Chronium think

I heavily prefer epic speed. Although can adjust to normal with some effort.

As discussed before coastal on custom continents/medium&small type map.

Leader... I had very heretic idea - minor one (that with Sid face) with no traits, no UB, no UU. I would no go for no starting techs as this slightly too hard.

That is sort of the point(suleiman is better than mehemed)... If the majority perfers epic, sure it is easier, but it is not really about what is easy, but about what is fun...

Huts? Barbs? Events?

This is AWESOME... pure learning experience.
We could in this case give us agri + wheel or Agri + mining (two strong techs) to compensate...
Oyzar would also have to make a balance set of opponents (we are not masochists...) so people are not afraid...

edit: barbs (huts) ON
event OFF

I'll go with epic as that seems to be the current trend. Custom Continents/Big&Small with coastal start is ok. Although Mehmed if played well is a monster "coastal" leader: cheap lighthouses AND harbors! And granaries to grow your cities faster in order to make trade routes better, and courthouses to get more coastal cities. :)

How is this for a start for the next one? No huts no events, but barbs are on. Epic speed, medium and small. Mehemed. I checked the map to make sure it would not be too easy ;).

Good enough for me...

There is a risk to be boxed in though...

far less production... and if there is another resource on the fog to the east , it will be lost
