Soldiers of India in the service of the East India Company and the British Indian Army. There are packs for the Bengal, Bombay, and Madras Presidency armies, as well as one for Punjab and the North-West Frontier forces from 1850 onward. There are also several allied and auxiliary units attached to various packs.

Eye-poppingly wonderful! Enough of a selection to have appropriate upgrades and UUs for several civs. And you've invested a lot of effort in making the uniform details stand out enough to make for easy identification.

The only additional unit I can think of would be a "Company Man" with the broad-brimmed straw hat. Unless you want to get into making some female units?

Love it! I do have a need for Bengali-specific units, but mostly older ones. The 1750 and 1790 rows would be pretty much end-game units - but still great to have!

Thanks everyone.

Very nice.

There seems to be a problem with your horse spear units, they lack a shadow.

Not sure what's happened there.

Amazing pack :eek: It was worth waiting :D
Will you create more units for that era? Ottomans? :bounce:

The Ottomans are quite well covered by imperator1961's units. I do plan on making some Safavids, however.

I might make some company troops. I am making some French sepoys as well.

The sapper deserves special mention - and thanks! Nice to have a combat engineer. Anyone interested in using them should take a look at the legionary unit in RFRE which can build roads and fortifications - an addition of some worker jobs to a combat unit. Historically they and other Raj era units were used in campaigns outside the subcontinent - beginning with some of the EIC military actions & continuing up through the end of the Raj.

On a separate note - many of the units in this collection would serve well as units for other civs - French, Dutch, Princely states ...

as much as i read safavids were traditional? mostly relying on medieval outfit and having the best chainmail in the world! chainmail could effectively stop arrows! and they had georgian mercenaries, who were fighting afghans...

Thanks everyone.

Thank you for sharing your units! I'm really glad to hear that you're making Safavids, too. Since you are in the region, do you have any interest in working on some central Asian civs? It would be a huge help to have some guys from the Nogai Horde, or Kazakh, Khiva, Bukhara and Dzungar Khanates. Regardless of what you decide to make, just know that it is very useful and much appreciated!

1910 Bombay Lancer is missing it's *.pcx, everyone else seems to have all they are expected to have;

I's been fixed. Thanks for pointing it out.

That's a nice amount of Indian units. I'm sure I'll use a few of these for India.
