End of Game Replay needs too long!

Hi! I usually play huge maps, max civs.

After you have won the game you get the option to see the developement of your empire on a smaller screen like a FF-replay.

But why does it take so long to start?

This applies to my 1,5 Centrino as well as my 2,8 Ghz P4 and all other computers I have played civ on.

Yeah, I feel your pain. The strange thing is, under really old patches it used to work pretty good. I don't recall when it stopped working, but I was convinced it didn't work at all, until I got a new computer.

I agree, it's pretty dumb.

There are some replay utilities made by fans as well I think. Are they all slow?
