Enders Game 1: The Training Game Competition - Team 2

Guys,

I would like to apologize for not being able to play for so long, as well as not giving this game the standard of attention that I would like to, and that has been standard in most training games (mine and other people's) to date. Sadly, sometimes real life allows alot of time, and sometimes it doesn't. *sigh*

Anyhow, I played my turn. I took some cities from Egypt and the Celts, including both their capitals. Then I figured we could get enough land for a domination victory peacefully, and we were running out of cossacks, so I made peace, started rushing libraries in outlying cities and building settlers in our core.

Resulted in a Domination victory in 1410AD, with a score of 5883.

I would like to thank everyone for playing, I hope you've learnt something out of it, and once again, apologies for not being able to give the game more attention.

I hope to play with each of you in another succession game in the future.

I will likely post a message in the other thread to inform them that our game is over, and players may now look at their thread, but please don't post in their thread until their game is over, or post any information in other threads about their game until their game is over.

Cheers,

-Sirp.

Thanks to everyone who participated for this experience. I learned quite a bit and enjoyed playing immensely.

Sirp --- Sorry for the subtle prodding. I, myself, have had some periods where some really ugly Real-life situations quite rudely interrupted my on-line commitments for extended periods, so we (I) understand completely.

I hope things will end up well for you. :)

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed and learnt from the game, Rubberjello. I hope to play in another succession game with you at some point in the future!

SaaM:

Well, I replayed Sirp's turns, and he must have done slightly better than me. Attached is a save where if you just hit "end turn", you will get a domination win in 1440 with a score of 5878.

Man! Going up against Infantry with just Cossacks just SUCKS! I never want to do that again.

saved game (1440AD)

Yeah sorry, I had the save at some stage, but don't have it anymore :(

RJ's sounds fairly similiar to mine, so you could just use that.

Going against infantry with cossacks does suck, but I didn't have to do that in my game. In fact, I had to take very few cities, and mainly just concentrated on expanding our current territories and claiming neutral territory.
